I have visited Easter Island 6 times throughout my life and I have always had great experiences that is why I have returned, first with my friends, then with my parents and then with my children and partner. It is one of my favorite places in the world.

The majority of older model Dreamliners (World Wide) with Rolls Royce engines are still grounded awaiting Replacement Engines....you flew on a substitute plane for that very reason. You should be happy and grateful LATAM went through the considerable expense of Leasing a ETOPs plane to get you where you wanted to go....many carriers simply have halted flights because substitute ETOPs planes are in short supply.
This seems to be a very charming place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!
Pitcairn Island (population: 50) and Tristan da Cunha (population: 250) are the world's most remote inhabited islands. Tristan is so remote that it doesn't even have an airstrip, and live TV didn't arrive on the island until 2001. The only way of traveling in and out of Tristan is by boat, a six-day trip from South Africa. Pitcairn Island also does not have an airstrip, nor does it have an airport or a seaport. It can only be accessed by longboat.
We went to Anakena beach to swim, beautiful beach with Moai statues, you can swim there and by the resturant Pea at the harbour, locals did that everyday when we were there.

Nithin Chakravarthy I stayed at Hanga Roa Eco lodge, super awesome hotel. Definitely rent a car for all or part of your stay, it makes the entire island accessible in 20 minutes and the driving is adventurous!!

I ate at 4 or 5 different restaurants, they were recommended to me by the hotel and I enjoyed all of them, but did get the sense that there may not be a ton of other high quality options beyond those 4 or 5. I mean, it makes sense, it's a small island!

I am a millenial and was born in the communism in east europe. I never seen in my hand 300$ in one! My avarage salary was (in 2012) 10-12$/day and half of this I paid for transportation. So. Clean profit after a day: 3-5$. -2-3 $ for a meal. So. After a day I had left 2$ in my hand. Or nothing. 😅 Welcome to the reality world! (As maybe billion people live their life today) I was 31 when first time I had opportunity to flight and leave my country. I simply could not imagine this is happening! I needed to wait for this 13 years and day by day work for only food. 😅 Can you imagine this guys? You have a dream place and you have to wait for that 13 years to get there? 5 days and someone get frustrated to stay in an island? (And not even need to work) I stayed 13 years. Someone else need to stay 40 years or more. Before I say any offens...(what I really do not want) guess what was the moral of my story. Not self-pity or martyrism. I wish the westerners come to our place and work for "free" (2-3$/day) as we do every day...and then they will appriceate how they have good life and (lifeable life) and how they got too much what (maybe) they never deserved just born on the better side of the border. Bro your just on an un updated tripple 7, They have been around since the 90s and some fleets are not raining cash like others. Also Being yours was all white, it was most likely a rented or leased plane most likely if it was a dreamliner based on your date, because the DLs had engine issues.
I laughed a lot at your high expectations that you had with that old LATAM plane hahaha that plane is already retired, now they use the Boeing B787-9. Your video is very good, you have many good captures.
LATAM is still waiting for a dozen of 787-9 deliveries. In the last year it has dry-leased that old 747-200, from what it seems to be Boeing Capital Corp., to maximize flight capacity. As KarKoncierge mentioned, it has spent most of its life with Singapore and a couple of years with Royal Brunei (leased). I see it almost on a daily basis at Miami Int'l but I don't see it show up when booking tickets on LATAM, so they may be playing the " last minute change of equipment" card very often.

It completely depends on the miles you have and where you want to go, but Aeroplan is my personal favorite program right now and so I do a lot of my award travel searching there and when I find something, I transfer my points in from Amex or Marriott Bonvoy if I need to top up.

From what I've read your best bet is to buy an Entel prepaid sim card and use data from it, since 4g is the more reliable option

This video doesn't portray Easter Island accurately, and for just one season. Wish for more relevant content, which in a video 20 mins long, plenty of opportunity. Some of the information is misleading (ie . Beaches, 80 degree temps in summer, among others) The last half dedicated to booking is long winded. This route is NOT cheap. You will not find J class fares for "only 100 bucks more" during the austral summer. Tone down sounding spoiled. Yes, no menus. It's not a $5000 Tix. And it is a leisure and cargo route. Have you seen some of the planes flying to Hawaii (infinitely more wealth and tourism too) I'm actually surprised that a 787 is even offered. United to Hawaii still has the old business, and 6 years ago, flew pathetic non refurbished 757 with domestic F class, pitch of maybe 34 (And maybe still do) Easter tourism 120,000, Hawaiian, 10,000,000.

It's a former Singapore Airlines plane, it had been in storage. The 787 engine issues are the culprit.
