Bringing Back Old School RAVE classic! Did dad bring it! L.A. Style - James Brown Is Dead [REACTION]

RAVING like it's 1993 again! I had to find this classic on an old school Mix Tape! I think I brought more beats than the daughter's pick. You tell me. Is old school Techno better than todays EDM? Or are they really similar?

I close my eyes and all i can see is that one Goth chick in the corner of the dance floor just doin' her thing in the black light and strobes.
Hat's off for the "mix tape" shout-out. The cassette pretty much ruled our lives.
Sometimes you'd get that rare B side, 12" extended version of your favorite track that your buddy secretly added to the tape.....and you guarded that cassette with your life.

Awesome! 1992 many consider the best year for uh “EDM”. I’ll soon be 53 and I remember being jealous of the UK for their Hacienda days lol. LA Style type music is now hard techno or in that range, there’s a lot of sub genres off of genres of techno. I love the playlists from the Berghain because it reminds me of the 88-93 era in a way. Check out Tomorrowland festival,especially this years event. It’s psychotic. Also Berlin’s Love Parade or now it’s called rave the planet or something like that. The US is definitely catching up but pales in comparison to Europe. I like the idea of comparing the differences, I was stuck in my era of music until the lockdown, I found a whole new world of music that I like. Love the Stray Cats and I saw part of the title and didn’t recognize it so looking forward to hearing the rest of the selections…

@@l.a.hops7729 great comment. I really don’t know much about EDM but I did like early “Club” and Techno back in the day. Look Kraftwerk!

Sorry Skylar Roy brought it! Still having a mixtape starts off with a 9. I still have a collection LOL What does EDM mean? Techno history: Started in Detroit. Look up Eddie Fowlks, Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Model 500, & Cybertron.
