I made these last night for supper. I toasted the buns under the broiler watched them closely, and took them out toasted lightly, The bacon was in a whole slice, but will try the smaller next time, cooked slightly, putting it out of the way in the pan, I did core it out on the top, but not quite enough, will make a bigger one next time. and wrapped the dog and cheese with the bacon...the weiner wasn't cooked. maybe that will make it easier to core. will try...we like the beef weiner....we dress it with mustard and relish, and a sprinkling of sauerkraut...I saw similar in No Frills called Hot Dog Twists, but couldn't see if they had cheese enclosed, and the weiner was a summer sausage. But as everything is so expensive, we stuck with the normal weiner..Even my 90 year old mother in law liked them. except she would have liked thinly sliced onion as the dress up for her dog, however, she didn't mention this till it was served to her...next time it will be correct.
