since it's your first interview it's ok, but you shouldn't waste your interviewees times with beginner questions. unfamiliar people can find that out by your question, and you could've asked like "your name comes from a bukowski book, are you fans of bukowski?" even extend it like "what kind of literature you like?". interviews are interesting when we get a glimpse of these artists mind and life, not when they're used like a talking wikipedia page :)
