I am a fan of Chipu in Vietnam. And maybe you don't know when ChiPu didn't participate in "Dap Gio 2023", she was ostracized by Vietnamese netizens (but not all) when she was a singer, she suffered a lot of criticism when she held the mic as a singer. People even advised her not to sing, being scolded for so many years thought she would give up but she still persevered and worked hard to fulfill her dream.
A lot of people didn't vote for Amber during lonely dance because apparently during the live recording a lot of people couldn't see her stage due to the smoke and placement of the stage she was on.
I really loved Amber in this! I remember when she released one of her MVs where she kissed a guy then Eric Nam and Ailee prayed over her!! ❤ I also loved Chi Pu and I think she's really presenting herself very well in the show! Though as much as I love her, I think this didn't suit A-Lin as there's more rap and less vocals her part BUT I also love her for showing something new (at least for me). 🥰❤
Amber's dance is supposed to be sexy, but she ends up looking cool. Chi Pu's meant to be cool, but it turns out super sexy. Their respective personality traits, can't help it.
I don't agree that Chi Pu's dance isn't supposed to be sexy. If Jabba the Hut danced the last half of her solo, he would look like he was trying to be sexy . . . He would fail, but he would look like he was trying. In the rehearsal video they talked about the fact that Chi Pu's routine was supposed to be cool and sexy.
The concept of this stage is to find who nails each concept they chose before. Chipu wins this because she showed the audience all these "cool", "handsome", "funky style" in her dance, vocal, rap and facial expression. Amber is my favorite of the 3 and she did a really really good job; but after watching her performance, I bet you guys cannot guess her concept which are "sexy and feminine".
I thought Amber nailed the sexy personality, the problem was that her clothes clashed horribly with the concept. Even though she knocked the performance out of the park in every other respect, the fact that she looked like she was about to go play sports was really jarring for me. "I love and miss you so much that I'm going to kick your butt at flag football." The other two at least dressed the part. I don't think Chi Pu reflected her concept as well as A-lin. Chi Pu's performance did look the most polished of the three, though, compared to A-lin's considerably weaker dance skills and Amber's wardrobe weirdness.
