Gene is so right about Lawerence of Arabia. I saw for the first time, on Blu-ray, on a 60in screen and was blown away. It demands an even bigger screen. There is something so amazing about the filming and coordinating of hundreds of extras in the battle scenes. It’s a true epic.
I really genuinely love how savagely they spoiled plot points in movies in these episodes. People put way too much stock into having to go into movies spoiler-free.
I always liked Tom Selleck in An Innocent Man, . And Quigley Down Under Wasn't Bad. . But in this movie just felt like Magnum PI and Higgins, decided to go into acting together. . Why would they put them both in basically the same Rolls together as their Relationship in the TV show.
I only watched it to see the McNeil Island and Tacoma locations used in the filming because I live in the region. The movie was total dogshit as are all movies with similar plots. Nolte's abuse of Short all through the movie seems to reflect the frustration and humiliation he must have felt for having to take a lousy paycheck film like this.
@@adamgrimsley2900 Decent and success are two terms that don't always apply to the same movie. Selleck never made a decent movie, that is, one that either didn't just suck due to poor acting, plot, and writing, or was, as you put it, a B movie at best. And that's being charitable. Too bad, because Selleck seems a likeable sort. Three Men and a Baby was a fluke hit and proof that most people are very easily entertained.
@@lyndonchastain3181 this is subjective and my opinion, but I just couldn’t stand Peter O’Toole’s character. And I disliked the humor in the first half of the film
oh so _you're_ the guy. I heard there was one out there. well hey man, don't ever let anyone else tell you which piece of art you can enjoy and which one you can't. if it works for you, that's great. certainly don't have to explain yourself to the likes of me, Snake.

Two Thumbs Up and they couldn't possibly be held higher for the reconstruction and revival of David Lean's widescreen masterpiece Lawrence Of Arabia.

I thought Her Alibi was OK but definitely not great.
Was I the only one who thought Lawrence of Arabia was super boring? I tried watching it with my dad and just couldn't do it.
I have still haven't gotten around to watching it.
I have trouble going to 3-hour movies. But I watched this one. I guess you have to get into beating the Turks.
I liked Three Fugitives well enough as a young kid, but, looking back now, yeah it is pretty bad.
They really glossed over the film, Nolte just doesn't just change the instant he meets meg.

Sellecks film career was pretty abysmal, I can only think of Robin Williams who consistently produced such poor movies.
Ever seen" Folks!"? My God it's awful. I thought that Runaway was kind of cool though.
Yeah, Selleck almost always picked terrible scripts. Williams occasionally picked brilliant films but a great deal of his filmography is worthless.
I wonder how _Raiders of the Lost Ark_ would have been with Selleck instead of Ford? Would he have shaved his moustache?
Poor Tom Selleck. Never could find a decent film project.
I guess you never saw Quigley Down Under
@@TotalMeltdown2 well that's ok but no one would call it a great film or a box office success. A B film at best.
Three Men and a Baby was the only success

I just finished watching Lawrence of Arabia for the first time. Wow does this movie not hold up.
How so?

I KNOW TIT TAKES LIKE 10 MIN FOR 1 GUY TO WALK ACROSS DESSERT BOOORINNNNG WTF LOL
I'm still preferable to Lawrence of a Labia.
I love Her Alibi.
Yeah, with an avatar like that you would...
