Just researched it and found out the trade winds keep the artic air away for the red coats. Lucky folk. Just finished walking the dog and it was 13 degrees F with a windchill of 2! Don't want to shank my 2 iron blade out there. Have a happy new year everyone.

Typically around 40 - 50 during the day, but sometimes nearer the 30 mark when it's clear and with the wrong wind direction! Bring on Spring.
I'm from northern ireland in the uk, and when i was up at the driving range yesterday it was -4C/25F. Bloody freezing! Lol

It's an ocean current from the equator, Brings warm water and hence warm air from the south to the west coasts of Europe keeps the temperature above average for our latitude

I agree. To have the dedication to only play three holes and then go back the very next day to play another three holes is amazing. If they play 18 that will be six separate trips! Those boys must really love golf.

Still ,I hate GIMME'S ..I think u should always putt out ..anyhow there are pros and PROFESSIONALS
I always putt out even if we play a match,,they always say anything a foot and a half out is a gimme but I like to putt out,I let them argue with each other about GIMME'S,it get on my tits
they play matchplay so if your partner already scored par and u have a par putt its automatically a gimmie, even if its a 30feet away, also they are just enjoying a fun game of golf.
