I could listen to these guys all day long. One of rocks greatest duets. Bryan & Mel should do a full album together. It would be amazing!
They should ! But I think the rest of the spice girls would be so Jealous... You Know what I don't get about the Spice Girls not making full new albums like Take That was doing for a while, even Boyzone came back after a major long hiatus and only recently called it a quits, but the fact the Spice Girls say making new records would stain the nostalgia of their past, and then when they get together it wouldn't feel like a homage to the heights that they originally soared. They also have said that their original hits are unbeatable. They are afraid of releasing new music as a Girl Band will look like something for young 20 somethings, and they will look like old women trying to be young again. Where as with modern music, they must feel there's so many artists that they can imitate the sounds of without taking that big of a risk. They could imitate Leanne Rhimes, Madonna, Jewel, Sarah Mclauchlin, Alicia Keys, even each Spice Girl could imitate a sound or some vibes from the other Spice Girls as individuals, but together, they can't figure out whats next, that won't cheeping them, or make them look like they're trying to appear 20 years younger. Omg I'm worried for Madonnas new music this year.... however apparently she is working with producers from her American Life Album era so it might not be to over the top "I'm 20 years old again". The Spice Girls were onto something when the released Headlines (friendship forever), but they kicked the momentum, they really should have followed that greatest hits album up with a full new album the year or 2 years after that, if it kept the vibes of headlines, it would have looked so mature and sat so well in line with their past hits. So Sad!

They are absolutely amazing , this song always makes me smile, whatever kind of day I am having. I’m glad they re-recorded it. Another excuse to keep listening to it. Bryan Adams was born in my hometown of Kingston Ontario and I saw him in concert on the cusp of superstardom in 1984 when I was 20. The cool thing is, many years later I moved to North Vancouver BC and my son and daughter ended up going to the same high school that he did just before he became famous. His teacher told him he’d never be famous and should have a back up plan. Idiot!!

Mel C by far and away the most under rated member of the Spice Girls...best voice out of all of them imo. And you're both aging amazingly! Memories of Alton Towers in, I think, 1997 now filling my mind. Space were the support act. I was sat on the grass drinking in the whole show. Love this revamped video and great to see you and Mel C together again.

I wonder how they did the video. It seems like they were playing the playback slightly faster when filming and slowed the video down afterwards to the normal speed of the song. Which creates this funny looking slow speed of movement. Both of them seem to have become more beautiful, btw. Golden age.

First heard this song during my engineering days. I am 43 now and this still has the feel. Takes me to those enjoyable days. Very good and loving collaboration by the two. Always happy to see the cheerful faces.
Immediately clicked when I saw these two back together after two decades. This was Bryan's first great song in his post-modernist era (after 'Waking Up the Neighbors' and when he started taking photography more seriously).

I didn’t want that to end!!!! Honestly I miss when music was so profound, success was determined by passion and talent and music evoked genuine emotion or feelings that would later have us relive nostalgia. Nowadays anybody can upload a video to social media and gain a career or notoriety. Back then these artists had to almost literally fight to remain relevant and build their careers, they couldn’t rely on social media, ITunes, Tiktok or TH-cam, they had only their voices, instruments, countless auditions, flights, cassettes and word of mouth to get by on. Now music seems so generic, I’m never surprised much anymore and for the most part this new generation has saturated the industry market with non stop covers and samples from artists before them. Now there are definitely a few decent artists of the newer generation however very few and far between.

I’m not entirely sure what you are implying, but I can agree with you that this song is great. Anything with Bryan Adam’s is gold. And yes I am Spice fan too, not ashamed to admit it, they may not have contributed to rock but there is a reason they are still considered the biggest girl group and that can be celebrated in its own merit, nothing to do with this video at all.
