The format is a problem for sure but let's not ignore the elephant in the room. Nobody cares because the same team wins every split. In LCS we have seen 100T, C9, NRG, TL,EG, win and we have teams like FLY and DIG who can realistically challenge for the title. In EU it is only gamers2 and everyone knows it which makes the league extremely boring.

Also since T1 have the ability to randomly turn up and win worlds there is some hype but even some casters have expressed how boring it is to watch GenG vs T1 at every final. gamers2 win every title regardless of how bad they play and then fail internationally so there is no reason to watch the LEC competitively. Last point: the LEC has been like this for 5 years with almost no break while the LCK has been dominated by genG for only 2. That also matters.
