Thanks! After some more refinement, I plan to make print files and plans available. If there is enough demand, I might look into supplying kits with all the components.
I'm still looking for a case that I like and this one looks really cool. I like that the usb c hub firts behind the back, without sticking out. Great job!
Thank you! I can only imagine some of the big manufacturers like ShiftCam and others are working on something like this that incorporates usb expandability. After a bit more refinement, I plan to make the files available for building your own. Let me know if that's something you'd be interested in!
I absolutely love this project, I am trying to do the same thing, but starting with some prebuilt parts. My design requirements are - NVME M.2 SSD (at least 500 GB) - 10k mAh battery bank - External Wireless recorder (DJI Mic) - USB-Hub (can add SD cards, headphones, etc) - HDMI output (to connect external monitors, I currently have a Viltrox 5" monitor that works pretty well) - Maybe a fan? So I found a usb-c hub, the acasis 10 in 1, which is a hub with a built in SSD enclosure. It also has PD in as well as a data connection. I'm trying to connect it and the battery to the back of the phone, when the phone is inside a Neewer iPhone 15 Pro Max cage. I like it because it has all the 1/4's and cold shoe mounts around the edges, and it also gives an easy way to mount ND filters (I am using a variable ND). Also the side handles make it a lot more stable when trying to keep it steady. My first prototype was ok, but I am also looking into heat management, so I may add a fan. But basically I imagine it being a box that sticks out from the back of the phone, secured to the cage, so that one cable connects the phone to the cage/hub/battery, so you slide in the phone, connect the cable and you are ready to go. When done, you just slide the phone out and disconnect one cable. I'm trying to get it to be an all in one solution, and your video was really inspiring!
Incredible job! Well done and its absolutely impressive the thought process throughout
Thank you very much!
This is Genius. Keep up the good work.
You’ve got to start selling these. Excellent idea!
