Thirty years ago, I worked as a courier for a large Chicago courier service, 2k calls a day We usually were released for the day at 5 PM. I had just picked up my wife and daughter and was heading home when a call came over the radio. "Go pick up a heart and set of lungs at ROBI (Regional Organ Bank Institute) and deliver to the University of Chicago hospital". My daughter absolutely freaked out when I put the cooler with the organs next to her. I had questions. How much are you paid per delivery? Are you paid per hour or by rate per mile? How do you receive you earned payment, and how often are you paid? Do we pay for the postage delivery box? When you was making a pickup, there was two items in the box and you only picked up one item? How do you know which one is for you? Once you put in your application, how soon did you start driving?
Paid an amount per route. This particular route was $160. Paid by Direct Deposit weekly. You do not pay for postage. You take all the items from the lockbox and put them in your box. They are all for you. I heard back within a few days and was driving within the week. I heard alot of areas have a waitlist right now.

Buy a new car isn't bad it's only bad if you don't have the money new car came with 8 years of bumper to bumper coverage and 2 years free oil changes if you factor in the cost of repairs on a used vehicle and oil changes over the years the price is comparable
I've been doing this for a couple of years now part time, and I'll share my tips and tricks I've learned throughout. Every region/area is different. For example, I'm in Miami, FL. Over here the traffic is insane, and you will burn some time (and fuel) stuck in traffic. For that reason, I prefer to take on the gigs that happen "after hours" when most folks are home sleeping. Less traffic, and inefficiencies to deal with. I like to have all my shipping boxes/containers built and ready to go. That way I just pull up, box/close and pull out. Keep all your receipts for fuel, tolls, mileage, service, etc of your vehicle. This stuff is all deductible on your taxes. You can work for multiple companies at the same time. So when one slows down (not common), you can pick up on the other.
Hey Jerome, just letting you know I've been enjoying your videos and hitting those "likes" because you give so much informative gold nuggets. Have some Questions for you or anyone of your TH-cam family who can answer for me- 1. Could this gig be done using a HyreCar rental? I've been seeing this so much and I just want to try this but I don't have a good reliable car and I'm thinking about renting for a while. I don't know if doing so will eat up all my earnings or it will leave some workable amount? 2. It looks like you're doing most of the deliveries at night, are there day- time offers if one don't like driving at night? 3. With siggestions to multi-app, how many phones does one need to do all that? I hear it helps increase earnings. Thank you. I will appreciate all the help I can get.👏✌
Thank you for watching!! You might be able to do it with a rental car, I am not 100% sure. I wouldn't recommend renting the car until you are actually on the app and know that you will get a route. They have daytime and nightime routes in my area, not sure about yours. You can multi-app with one phone, I only use one phone. I hope I was able to help with your questions!
@@carsandcribs Thank you so much Cars and Cribs for such a quick response. I've asked this question all over the place and I guess people are busy to respond; so I do appreciate you for responding and rather very quickly. I have been hitting "likes" on all your videos but your quick response earned you a new subscriber. Thank you again; keep it coming. And God bless you
Came randomly to this video, but years back i did uber. I want to say this, a lot of drivers do these gigs, for easy money or side hustle, that's great, but try to have some caring about your service, meaning, don't just do it because you want money, have some respect for the service you're being paid to do, you don't want to be seen like an employee because you aren't, likewise, don't treat customers like a number because they aren't. Good day!
Thank you Jerome for making this very easy to understand -- went to the site and my vehicle is a 2004 Dodge Dakota pick up with 4 doors -- but "Drop off" only goes back to 2008 - I did notice they have an office in Weston which is very close to me --- should I just forget about it? Or, should I drive over there so they can see my beautiful truck. I bought it brand new. Again, thank you for sharing -- be well
You’re Welcome. I’m not sure if they would make an exception. It sucks that out vehicles have to be at least a certain year. In my opinion alot alot of the older vehicles run better than the newer ones.
That's interesting. I have a 2007 F150 which I use for Dropoff. Granted I signed up back in 2021, maybe it was within the year range, but I recall them allowing vehicles as old as 2003. 🤔

Sir, you are a ray of sunshine ☀️ just felt the need to tell you that
I think that we all need a good laugh 😂 (These Days) @Adam, Did you not get us all in trouble after the creation of Time?
🤔
💕AWESOME VIDEO💕
Thank you for your suggestions and I will take those into consideration. I really do enjoy your videos and you're very helpful and very funny and full of energy; kudos to you.
Good day!
You should watch some more of my videos.
Its NOT EASY THOUGH!!! I have been trying to get in it for a couple of months now
EVERYONE takes s job because of money.. He does take pride in his services... Go sit yo royal ars down somewhere...It goes hand in hand
so sweet when you talk. so cute haha
Thank you!! 🤝🏽🤝🏽🤝🏽
