yeah people from Ableton did stuffed up this time, it did work great in previous versions of Ableton including renaming folders with your own names, did help a lot when you worked on the project, now its nightmare to find one vst instrument that you just installed, hoping that will be fixed in new Ableton version
Dude you saved my ass here. I was pulling my hair out trying to find the proper file path for my vst2s and did not know program files (x86) were 32bit files. You the man!

Which version live are you working on? When I set for mine to scan for 64 bit plup'ins in non-86, program folder, my system crashes 4:22
I running Live 11 but it works for every version, when It freezes, don't click or touch any buttons or it will crash

Maybe one is vst3 and the other vst2
