this is actually what i find a problem for skz their songs have some void like when you hear them you get so excited but at the same time you feel like there is something missing lets say its like there is alot of empty areas in the beat specially the chorus like for side effect when the chorus drops in the original song you feel some emptiness but now since its backed with ateez back vocals and stuffed beat now it sounds complete i dont know wether its only me or everyone feels the same

Side effects, like a lot of songs in the same genre, was born for live performances and festivals. Only during live performance you can understand the full power of this song.
At concerts, it destroys the audience. But this certainly does not apply to people who generally hate electronic music. It's just not their genre, so it's just 'noisy' music for them.

Personally I’m not the biggest fan of side effects, it wasn’t my taste but I love skz music in general but this mashup takes the goddamn cake. It’s so good.
Well cant relate becuz side effects made me like the genre i hated the most lol and me become a stay....but yeah i do agree that this mashup has a different level of perfection and power...it might be becuz both songs hv psychedelic elements or becuz the timing and progression of both songs fits perfectly....also i too really enjoy skz discography in general.....even before i became a stay i was a casual listener without knowing who i was listening to....and if i were to describe this mashup in two words i think its "hauntingly powerful"

This vid found its way back to my recommendations and since the first time I heard it, I hv listened to many more SKZ AND ATZ mashups, and bro I can't believe how good more than half of those mashups were....like they were so good that most of them could be considered some of the best kpop mashups of all time...and idk why but their songs just always work well when it comes mashing up songs...infact side effects in specific is like the kpop mashup representative...LIKE THE SONG IS SOOOO MASHUP MATERIAL LIKE-

great mashup! the sounds blended in so well and didn't sound choppy like most others do. i hate to say it but most mashups nowadays sound bad because a lot of people try to edit out instrumental and get just the voice so they can paste it over a completely different instrumental. i think that finding songs with complimenting instrumentals is part of the art and work too.
Was listening to Horizon and thought "hm, side effects would sound great with this" and then looked to see if it was done. It's so good!
