Hi Sharon, you can draw 2 vertical lines representing the positions you want your pleats. Then slash along those lines, fan open the pattern opening at the top but nothing at the bottom. This can add some room for movement around the back without changing the hem. As long as the hem circumference is sufficient, sitting down or standing up shouldn't make much difference in the fit. Hope that helps!
I've been stuck on how to do pleats for hours and i stumbled upon your vid and i finally get it. Thnk you so muchhhhhh !! all the love from Singapore x
Hello, I was wondering: Would it be possible to remove a pleat from an already completed and purchased garment (specifically a jacket)? Fantastic video nonetheless, and thank you for all your help!
How would I do the pleats, one on each side instead of one in the middle, and will that allow for muscle flexing of the lats on the sides, or when he sits down. Also, I will want the bottom of the shirt to stay the same, will two such pleats cause a problem with that? Thank you for any help you can give.
Hi :) You are very talented so I thought I could make a request to you to make a tutorial for Sunburst/Sunray pleated skirt pattern. And also a tutorial for pleated/gathered neckline. Thank you beforehand. :)
