I've played piano for three months (practicing scales, arpeggios, triads and pieces) and there's problem I have not mentioned here, especially when I'm trying picking a melody: what fingers I should use for a certain note, especially if there are jumps and big intervals. I wonder if it's something I will able to do with time and practice or if there are exercises or things to do in order to understand what fingers use in every situation.

My casio keyboard doesn't sound like that of yours, there is a significant sound difference between my and yours(yes, it is of relatively low price). Can u or anyone pls help me out telling what might be the reason behind this anomaly? Thankful for the help

@@PianoteOfficial Hi Lisa, after seeing how easy you made piano accompaniment, I don't think I've ever subscribed faster! Does Pianote have a guitar equivalent & would you have any recommendations for vocal & guitar lessons.
I want to become a Music Therapist & knowing how to sing, play piano & guitar proficiently is required. With a focus on (A.I.M) accompaniment, improv & modulation. Any advice would be great!

another tip for rhythm that I've used a lot is taking it away from the piano- use the metronome and instead of playing (which will intitially present an extra layer of challenge) clap. find some rhythms in a random book and set a metronome you feel comfortable with and fire away. you can learn to recognise the rhythms on sheet music while understanding the different timings in a more practical sense. even if you don't use a book and just decide to clap once per beat or twice or four times it is still a useful exercise and it takes away that added layer of coordinating your hands to play as well as taking in/practising rhythm :)

songs and lessons at your finger tips 24/7. The structure and step by step lessons and

We don't have a good place in our kitchen to keep our microwave, so our microwave is in our living room (which is actually convenient for popcorn at movie time) near our piano, so when I go to microwave something (even if it's a super quick 30 seconds just melting butter for a recipe or something) I go and play my scales on the piano if I haven't that day (I have a system*), or if it's longer like a minute or two I'll sit down and start to play a song. :)
*I practice the C and C# scales on Monday, D and D# on Tuesday, E and F on Wednesday, Thursday F# and G, Friday G# and A, Saturday A# and B, and Sunday I do them all again. I started doing Major scales for a while before they become like second nature, and now I practice natural minor scales. Once that become second nature I'll probably move on to melodic and then harmonic minor, followed by blues scales (and boy am I looking forward to those!!! XD)

  • @syberyah
    @syberyah 3 ปีที่แล้ว

I started out playing by ear. I first learned to play the melody of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star by ear when I was 4 and I was so proud of myself, lol. My dad taught me how to chords when I was around 10 or 11, I think (teaching me about triads and how they're notated when they're written as "Cm7" or something) and then I went and learned to play tons of Disney songs and other songs. I started out by playing a few from a broadway fakebook he'd gotten me and played Part of Your World, and after that I taught myself how to play tons of other Disney songs. I would figure out the notes by ear and then figure out what chords sounded good there.
Eventually I got to be good enough that now I can figure things out way faster because at this point I can often sort of intuitively know what chord comes next, which is super nice.

yep..my brain is conbobulated too David Bisson. Started learning piano (online) at 64 after learning to play trumpet 50 years ago. (Sooo easy was that compared to this two handed, brain split in two experience!!). Persisting is a challenge, and i do need to ask myself WHY often. I still dont know really, but this learning is a real eye opener.

    Technical problems
    To stay concentrated,
To not be out of rithme,
    To play and sing simultanusly,
To find the best key level that fits your voice,
Some men sing better in female key.
Some wimen sing better in male key.
Besides improvisation its hard to get a good song on the piano. 🤗

Wow love your training videos, you so cheerful and if you make a little hic-up you laugh it make it so much fun! At the moment I am writing one song a day! BUT! now I need to put some music to just two I have selected, I have a keyboard that plays and records many many many instruments for the back ground leaving me to play over these! I play manly cords or single notes in my left hand and cord and cord variations and two to three notes in my right hand not to fast though. what I find hard is I can produce a lovely sound BUT I can't always remember the same pattern ( I know practice) but playing a lovely sound as you go then I forgot how I did that. AHhhhh best wishes ken xxx

Loved this video, thankyou !...I am a new player since lockdown but pleased to say with your help only I have managed to play all the leadsheets, improvising and playing some quite involved stuff i.e. Einaudi quite well ..chuffed !.. One thing I am struggling with, especially with some classical pieces is the time signature ..I understand the 2/4 , 3/4, 4/4, 6/8 BUT I picked a couple of pieces out with 6/4 and 12/8 how on earth do you count - hope this isnt a stupid question for your more experienced players. I would love a short video on time signatures ...Thanks again for helping me accomplish a childhood dream and am 60 years old now :-) Oh, and the havent got time to practice , I am the home cook too..so put the potatoes on to boil for 20 mins..there you go..20 mins practice time..sorted ..:--)

Thank you for the vid!! :D It do help and I'm now eyeing the time and staring at my piano, thinking of when I'm going to practice 😂
I always struggle with being motivated and being interested about piano, cos u see it always needs hardwork and significant energy put into it and u have to do your scales, brush up techniques etc to be able to play songs or pieces. My technique isn't really good so I always feel that I can't play anything I like because my hands are too small, technique not good etc etc :( I struggle to play in front of others and even practicing when my family members are around (because they'll judge, esp my mom :') )
Additionally, I'm a perfectionist. If I make any mistakes when I practice and not get it right, I get frustrated because I can't play the way I like and lose motivation aft that :'(
I'm a piano music college student, and I had come a long way because deep down I do want to play songs, pieces or soundtracks that I like. But those things....like scared to play/practice when somebody's around, technique not good, fear of making mistakes always holds me back :') I hope I'll overcome this inertia and be able to play any songs that I like~

At times she goes on too fast for beginners! She helps semi advance people , it doesn't work as well for beginners... She needs to SLOW down naming EACH chord or keynote played .. Zach Evans is a great teacher ;! He NEVER rushes anything step by step!!!

I think playing computer games with my left hand on the keyboard made my left hand strong. I actually feel more in control with my left over my right, even tho im right handed.
