Bead counting is ridiculous. I can't believe they don't make lower doses for tapering.

I agree, I've never actually had to count beads but it looks like it would be an extremely frustrating thing to do. Lower doses seem like a no brainer!

Bead counting is damn annoying. Doing that every single day would be frustrating. But they can't bother to even make lower doses for tapering.

@@SimeonKirilovX I don't know how you have the patience. I'm pretty sure they would end up on the floor if I had to count them.. so much damage done by some of these meds. Feels like being between a rock and a hard place.

I water taper Klonopin. It’s actually really easy. I drop my .5 mg in 150 ml, let dissolve. And it will dissolve. Then I mix with a coffee frother and immediately pull up my discard. It’s been smooth and takes 5 minutes. As I get lower, the frother may not work as well, and shaking and swirling may be better at that time.

Hi, how did you taper Ativan, would you share please? How many doses a day and amount, and time you took it , l m trying to taper Ativan at bedtime, it’s going very, very hard , especially that l reached tolerance already and was reluctant to increase dose due to bad side effects. I was wondering how your process was , maybe will help me ...

That's really good! You are almost there. That dose is so low that the vast majority of any kind of urine tests don't even detect that amount. Out of all the benzos i think klonopin is the easiest (not easy...but much, much better than xanax, or valium....the second has an insane half life, so it takes a minute for your brain/body to feel it's gone, but once 'it' knows, it takes forever to feel better and it is still detectable in a pee screen 2+months later, after last dose!!!) Be well!😊

Since a cut of Dz last July I got very sick. ( Held for 7 months waiting to feel better but not, so re started taper) My thyroid is now permanently swollen to twice its normal size, and painful ++ev day altho classed as "mild" , does not feel "mild" ( I have thyroid AB's but my TFT's are v good) My tonsils are also now chronically enlarged although I do not have active tonsillitis. Can this all be Benzo Wdl Syndrome or Benzo damage or related to the Dz dose getting lower ? I never had this b4 getting to 7 mg daily of Diaz ...v slow taper down from 15 mg day.

The advice to do taper under the supervision of a doctor or psychiatrist is unrealistic. They have neither the time, knowledge or the inclination to learn about safe tapering. As a result of 'medical' advice 30 years ago I was unnecessarily put on SSRI's. Do No Harm: Fail number 1. When it was time to come off I was advised to taper off over a couple of months. It was the single biggest threat to my life I have ever encountered. Do No Harm fail number 2. Take an extremely dangerous, experimental drug to protect against a virus that was not a threat to me in the first place, which if taken, has a 1:800 chance of seriously changing your life. Do No Harm fail number 3. Thank god I trusted my gut instinct and committed criminal acts to avoid being bullied into taking it.
Enough. I will never take a doctor's advice seriously again. My body, my responsibility to look after it.
This is not who I am, I am an intelligent, retired Police Officer, and it saddens me that the medical profession in cahoots with the pharma industry have brought me to this place.
You seem like a good, caring professional care giver, but you ought to be ashamed of what has happened to your profession.

Being on Xanax a low dose with no side effect's or issues is there really a big issue staying on it for anxiety issues.Say like being on the same dose and never going it?
