I think Sasuke wouldn't bother living in a place in precarious conditions. The one who needed all that was Naruto himself being the son of the 4th Hokage. That was Hiruzen's biggest mistake, he wouldn't have to tell anyone his father's secret but at least Naruto should have had more support and live in a better place.
