@@GaryHayes I’ve been looking at a Behringer 960, cannot see any clock in and found nothing on the net to suggest any way to use an external clock. Could you please help? Do you have a clock in and out of the 960? Cheers.
You use the Shift Control input on the 960 which takes your basic clock, described here from a few years ago on my vid th-cam.com/video/pICUv6rd718/w-d-xo.html @@PhilipTaylor_007
Really enjoyed this Gary! I'm a guitar player and am looking for a small synth that I can incorporate into my set up (using some of my effects pedals - delays, reverbs, modulation etc). I have zero experience when it comes to synths. The S1 also looks like it could be a great hands-on learning tool, to help me get my head around oscillators, LFOs, filters etc etc. Would you agree?
Go for it! - yes the S1 is based on the famous SH101 (which is actually a synth I used to teach basic synthesis at the famous BRIT School in London in the early 90s! - as music production and tech lecturer) ... Cheers mate
@@GaryHayes I would like also to extend my palette of sounds extending the guitars + effect pedals world. I already ordered the S1, but still wondering if the P6 could give more. I can't find any relevant comparison between S1 and P6 regarding to sound range, sequencing, usability and so on. Is there any aspect in which S1 can't be substituted by the P6. Do you have any insights about the differences between these two devices?
@@ret01101 I think there are comparisons because one is an analog synth harking back to the good old days and the P6 is a sampler, allowing you to put digital sounds into it. The operation of each will be much different too ... I would just look at demos of each and make a final decision on if you need the sampler
Will Roland address the product malfunction of there being no MIDI Volume (CC07) for this synth? MIDI Volume has been around for over 40 years and they dropped it off the feature set list. No automated mixing with this
very nice! how do you record main theme? i see you pressed few times record button... i guess once you press it and play something it records in realtime and once unpressed keeps playing?
Cheers - yes hit record and play notes, hit again if you don't want to capture. But you can add more to the existing recording by pressing record again. But if you forget to switch it off and rotate knobs they get captured too and it can fill up quickly ...
Siempre un placer oírte gary
Many Pedro and to hear from you too!
ありがとうございます!
Appreciate that MvR!
This is so good! I just ordered this little wonder today. Can't wait to play with it.
Hope you enjoy it! 5th!
You really know your way around this synth. I’m glad I stayed to the end, loved it.
Wow thanks John - appreciate you popping by !!
Very nice Gary, as you say “Big Music on a Tiny Synth” Magic stuff.
cheers Phil and yes size isn't everything :)

Perhaps a question for Roland than mere me?
@@GaryHayes What did they say when you asked Roland?
@@nicodemuspapadopoulos4708 I didn't ... Not something I need
They said that you are superior to other humans, so I must ask you

Sounds goid. A pity that all of it is always in the same key w/o any modulation into an other tonality or harmonic structure.
Yes a pity ...
