I'd say I rarely meet people in real life that play(ed) Paradox games. Like 3-4 total and they've all been male's. Never met a female that played any Paradox games until I happened upon you. Either way three to four people is still a very small number considering I get a round a lot. Most people don't even know what I'm talking when I mention Paradox
I've played Paradox games, with a big break in between, since the very first HOI and more focussed for like 13 years now. I've known one girl in that timeframe that played them as well, in comparison I knew like half a dozen guys who did. But even most male friends don't like them.
