- So I did the scariest thing I could've ever done... Cutting a hole in my van roof. I finally scored a Maxxair Fan Deluxe for my van and with this summer heat still sticking around in Florida, I figured it was time to finally install it! Installing a Maxxair Fan in your van does not have to be a difficult task. This video will show you how to install your maxxair fan in your van along with a tongue and groove ceiling.

Thanks brother! Can't wait to get on the road full time like you here in December!
Great video brother. I finally got my Leer Topper on the rig. She looks great, can't wait to get her ready for some overnights. Be safe during the hurricane my friend. We are all hunkered down and ready. If you find that you're stranded due to the weather send me a reply and we'll figure out how to get you to safety, Navy Mark your Green Cove brother...
That's awesome man! And I appreciate you watching out! Stay safe
Wow exelente work
Very nice! It’ll keep that airflow in the van nice and ventilated 👌🏽
Dude it's crazy how much these fans actually help. I am a die hard fan of them now! Even if you have windows to crack for air flow, these fans do a wayyyyyy better job!
@@TaylorVanBeek yeah you especially need that down in Florida! Haha
Very nice job!
Thank you!
Coming together so well, you’re doing everything very meticulous 🤟🏽
Thanks brother!
You did a great job Taylor! I enjoyed watching how you did it. Really looking good. Glad you're coming to town today so I can see it.
Thanks so much!!
Looks great man! She's really coming along! Keep it up!!
Thanks! It's a learning process for sure! Haha
do you have any more videos coming out about how you did your walls or any other parts of your van build?
I don't. I wish I would've kept filming while building the van but I was on a time crunch to get it finished. And filming while building takes so much longer!
Love it man, did i miss a part where is shows where you draw your power from to power the lights and fan? Currently building and express and want to do a fan and ceiling like yours, are you able to slice into the dome light wire to power your lights and fan or how do you power it all?
I've got another video of my van build on the channel. I think I go through where I've got everything hooked up in that video. The fan and lights are hooked up to some auxiliary batteries in the back of my van
@@TaylorVanBeek right on dude, I think I'll stick with a USB fan hahah 😂 just building a little weekender. Great work man!
I'll be needing to do this soon on my new(to me express) having some issues with condensation in PNW (washington) and hoping this will help
It should help for sure. Especially when sleeping in it at night. Helps circulate the air very well.
Taylor drop a link for the fan, size of the self tapping screws and wood screws you used. Much appreciated
Sorry for the late reply! It's just a maxxair fan deluxe. It should pop right up if you google it. The self tapping screws come with the fan to attach to the roof. And the wood screws were just 1.5 inch wood screws from Lowes.
Are those 2x4s your attached to the ribs of the van of the walls???
Yes they are. But they're shaved down up top to a 1.25x4. Put them on there to help keep the wood straight in the van instead of contouring it to the curve of the van
hmm ...
