PLEASE READ! Hello. My reaction to episode 3 was blocked along with the rest of my reactions to this series. Hopefully this gets read by all. Unfortunately this will be the last Spaced reaction on here. I tried my best to get the rest of my reactions to it on youtube but they have been blocked. So I regret to say again, this will be the last Spaced reaction of mine on youtube. I try to get as many show reactions as I can on here but the vast majority of them get blocked now. It sucks because I don't want to leave the youtube subs in the dark and only have my show reactions on Patreon but that's the way it is now I guess. Sorry for not getting it through I tried my best. -Some Muppet
When Mike spits out paint after he'd been shot, it was because he'd been eating paintballs against the wishes of Tim at the start of the paint balling...
The thing about Spaced is that each episode builds off of the prior episodes. It starts slowly because it’s establishing its universe. Now that universe is established, it gains momentum.
Simon Pegg and Peter Serafinowicz also cross paths in Hippies, a 6 episode comedy set in London in 1969. It was created by the same people who did Father Ted.
The music that played over the flash back sequence where Tim was chased by dogs was from a famous Brit kids show of the 1970's & 80's called 'Rhubarb and Custard', the adventures of an animated cat and dog.
It's a shame TH-cam are blocking your reactions to Spaced, I was looking forward to seeing them. I don't know why they do that, whether it's film or music, people reacting brings things to a wider audience, some of whom might even go out and buy it. I've bought music after having discovered new stuff via reactors on here. It's free advertising. They probably get more from that than Spotify.
In the UK there is an animal charity called the RSPCA and if you adopt a dog/pet from them they come and do a home check to make sure it is suitable for an animal. The scary thing is, if your home does not pass -- ie it is not good enough for a dog, they just let you carry on living there but without a dog.
The scary thing? The RSPCA are there for the welfare of animals. If people live in dumps and can't look after animals, it's not on the RSPCA to get involved in that persons life....
I think the hard part is you have come at this the wrong way round - Space was the start of the partnership of the three of them, so everything was new and they were finding their feet…
The guy who Mike calls ‘kid’ and then ‘old timer’ is played by Paul Putner. He crops up all over…as Hitler in ‘heaven’ with Denholm Reynholm, for example
I love how much this show disrespected the phantom menace.....when the actor who was the voice of Darth maul is Peter serafinawitz and he was in the show. It's awesome.
i always thought he was watto, the flying fkg blue wasp in the pod race. A racist insignificant character Lucas created. Maul would have been way above his pay grade.
Brother Boomer! Bring him into the mix! :D I think it's purely that we've spoilt you with SO much epic Brit humour that not everything can be top spot funniest yet stuff! Anyway yep this to me gets easily as funny and endearing as Black Books (which itself didn't quite hit the mark of IT, which in turn was a tad below Father Ted... you get my point!) Cheers King as always, as long as your having fun and not doing this to keep us muppets happy (and non-riotous lol) ;)
Some shows are laugh out loud funny , some are just bizarre and interesting. Spaced never really made me laugh but I think it's one of the best black comedies ever made
A lot of Black Books cameos Tim ran book store next door Daisy taught Fran yoga Mike installed the alarm system The Agent from season 2 played “The Cleaner”
i was the same age as Pegg in 99, and i moved to London in 98. I was his generation. And it was a beautiful thing to nod to. And then 911 happened, and we all went to sht. Nothing was local anymore, everything went sinister global. And today there is no local existence. Globally.
Hey, fun fact. Peter Serafinowitcz's grand father was tried & convicted as Britains only war criminal. Peter & his family fought long & hard to keep that from the British public. Anyway, check out Brian Butterworth. Bonbonbonbon.
Bruv, it might not work to save a relationship with a dog but....🤣 They're not in a relationship, that's the whole reason she had to think that excuse up, bruv....Get with the program G 😝
Wait until you get to the episode that gave them the idea for Shaun of the Dead. It's a blink and you'll miss it scene where he's been up all night on speed playing Resident Evil.
I remember when I went to LaserQuest with my nephew, apparently it's not cool to stab the children running around because you never run out of ammunition, HOW was I to know?!
Lmao 😂 Simon's little giggle & "I didnt mean it!" get's me every time.....😂 Such a shame the rest have been blocked.......I was looking forward to the 'Twigletts' episode😉 YES! could'nt agree more, consoles used to be the cutting edge of tech......Now it's just old O.O.D. hardware...Never worth what they charge...
Shelters and the "Pound" DO INTERVIEW YOU; then there's charges for shots, fees, etc. Even a limited stay trial...after that, if you still want the dog (or cat) it's yours.👍🏼👎🏼👍🏼👎🏼😎
Boomer Garth Marenghi's Darkplace is full of muppertry, definitely up your street. Here or patron just watch it. Co written by Richard Ayoade and stars Matt Berry.
You can love the Muppet, but hate the idiots pulling the strings... I don't know why they block more people from finding their content... I bet it makes them more money than they lose.
Season 2 is better than season 1.... but it's a bit like the original Star wars .. Amazing for it's time, totally groundbreaking, but a bit dated now.. It predates the Cornetto trilogy and had a relatively low budget, so isn't as polished. Also, it references things current from when it was made. It was also a very relatable comedy, mirroring our way of life back in the day. 20 somethings trying to make their way in the world. The viewer could often see themselves in the characters to some extent..(obviously in an exaggerated way)
If you want a more relentless british comedy, i'd check out Green Wing. It's like a sketch show with a storyline. I believe it was co-created by the same woman who did Smack the Pony
Completely agree about consoles now. Really dont understand how they sell any. There arent even any exclusives. And yeah, games suck too. You missed out on Tomb Raider back in the day man. I purposefully drowned lara croft in front of my parents and they clutched their pearls and banned me from video games for a long time 😂
I will be honest, it is not really that funny. But the subtlety of the referencing and the fact you can see Edgar Wright developing a style is the best thing about it. Also if you have ever tried to rent or buy a place in a British city you will know how dire the situation is.
For me Spaced falls in to the category of sitcoms I watched as a kid but don’t hold up. Red Dwarf, Men Behaving Badly, Bottom, Young Ones, Game On, all complete shit.
6:48.. 🙄🙄 typical "PC master race" opinion. I'll have you know consoles are still great for gaming. I'm still using an 11 yo Xbox One and enjoying gaming. 😅👌🏻
Spaced and Black Books are hugely over-rated. It isn't comedy for nerds in my opinion, it is comedy for the middle class, left-wing women and their feminist boyfriends, i.e. DULL.

fair enough, shit happens. thanks for the reactions you did get on :)
It's nae your issue big man.
The God's o' youtube can be right numpties at times.
Toast doesn't normally get blocked because I've seen other people reacting to it . Try that series with Matt Berry .
Aww, no Vulva :(
Thanks for trying.
The final “there’s a storm coming” was from the end of The Terminator
Simon Pegg and Peter Serafinowicz also cross paths in Hippies, a 6 episode comedy set in London in 1969. It was created by the same people who did Father Ted.
I remember how long it took me to realize that the dogs who were chasing Tim were actually running from Daisy.
Fun fact: Peter Serafinowicz was the voice of Darth Maul
My fun fact is better 😂
Just wait until you meet the character Tyres, a hopped up courier cyclist
You lucky people
So satisfying seeing him die in Shaun.
The music that played over the flash back sequence where Tim was chased by dogs was from a famous Brit kids show of the 1970's & 80's called 'Rhubarb and Custard', the adventures of an animated cat and dog.
It was also in a dance track in 1991.
It's a shame TH-cam are blocking your reactions to Spaced, I was looking forward to seeing them. I don't know why they do that, whether it's film or music, people reacting brings things to a wider audience, some of whom might even go out and buy it. Colin in this series is the inspiration for the 'Dogs can't look up' line in shaun of the dead.

The scary thing is, if your home does not pass -- ie it is not good enough for a dog, they just let you carry on living there but without a dog.
Reminds me of the Army base migrant camps. Not good enough for asylum seekers but perfectly acceptable for our troops 🤷♂
The scary thing? The RSPCA are there for the welfare of animals. If people live in dumps and can't look after animals, it's not on the RSPCA to get involved in that persons life....
Also, they kill more animals than any organisation in Britain. (Like PETA in the US).
No Kill Sanctuaries exist people. Google them. Use them.
“You got paint on you” became “you’ve got red you” SoTD
Spaced starts slow. But I always say, if you're not into it by the time Tim jumps out the window it's not for you.
The Roobarb and Custard theme nearly made me 😢 😂😂😂
I think the hard part is you have come at this the wrong way round - Space was the start of the partnership of the three of them, so everything was new and they were finding their feet…
He warned Mike not to eat the paintballs before they started...
A dog, Bamboo, and Lightning!
The guy who Mike calls ‘kid’ and then ‘old timer’ is played by Paul Putner. He crops up all over…as Hitler in ‘heaven’ with Denholm Reynholm, for example
The man is Britain's "that guy".
A dog, bamboo and lightning, the 3 things he fears.
The bit where Mike spits up yellow paint is one of my favourite moments in a comedy show!
@meisterlymanu5214 nope he was maul
@@meisterlymanu5214 Watto had way more lines. I think it was only like two lines for Maul or something.

I liked the terminator reference, there's a storm coming
"...and if you don't like it, I'll kill it" Now I know Kristi Noem has been watching Spaced.
10:26 lol.
Speaking from experience
My neighbours husband would play TR for hours, we would all sit in the living room on Fridays, order pizza and watch him play, great times
You’ve gotta know that Spaced was a program that you’d put on whilst baked, or getting home and falling asleep after a night out at 3am.
NEVER SEEN IT, from this clip I’ve not lost much
I've only been Paintballing once but I made sure to make and wear an 'I ♥ Guns' badge like Mike wears in this.
Some shows are laugh out loud funny , some are just bizarre and interesting. Spaced never really made me laugh but I think it's one of the best black comedies ever made
PETER WAS IN "BLACKS BOOKS" AS GUY WHO TURNED ON FRAN..."FFRRRAAANN"
reading "the shipping news".
A lot of Black Books cameos
Tim ran book store next door
Daisy taught Fran yoga
Mike installed the alarm system
The Agent from season 2 played “The Cleaner”

Did you become a raging alcoholic like Pegg, too?
@KingBoomer, please do a reaction to Nighty Night. You'll love it!
Boomer looks like Don
Nick and simon were in a special episode of danger 50,000 volts called danger 50,000 zombies, if you liked this episode you will deffo like it.

a bedsit is way worse than a flat. You get paintballed in a bedsit and your best mate cant save your ass, Platoon like either.
33:13 MARK HEAP!
Mike was eating the paintballs (again)
Episode 4 already?? Great series, love your reactions!
7:30 there's a lot of fun, simple games being made out there, mostly by indie developers.
"Games have fallen off".. that's like saying "music is dead" or "stories are boring". 😂😂
Second series is even better.
Wait until you get to the episode that gave them the idea for Shaun of the Dead. It's a blink and you'll miss it scene where he's been up all night on speed playing Resident Evil.
Love Spaced still, nothing changed since your last episode.
3 didn't make it on YT King B
Explained in pinned comment bro 👌
Greg Davies has a great series "THE CLEANER" with lots of guest appearances!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Jim, Brian...Mark Heap
My favourite episodes should be coming up soon

I saw Peter as very bad guy in a movie..he was great. Can't recall the movie title.

Just references.
