Most and Least Worn Fragrances Right Now

- This video is all about the fragrances I'm wearing the most at the moment. The first fragrances I'm talking about are easy reach, daily wear perfumes that just work well in all situations and I'm wearing them on repeat. The next group of perfumes are more special occasion friendly, stronger, longer lasting and therefore chosen less often but still very much loved fragrances. I also mention 2 books in this video, unfortunately Perfume by Neil Chapman is no longer in production but you may find it second hand. The Perfume Companion is here but search around you may find better prices:

About me - I'm Claire and I live in the UK. My taste in perfumes is usually quite sweet but not too sweet, I love white florals but not tuberose so much. I like gourmands as long as they smell like perfumes still, I require my perfumes to change a little bit as I wear them ie not linear. I don't enjoy oud, leather, cumin, saffron or strong patchouli however there can be occasions where I do like perfumes with these notes if they are not too dominant. I enjoy most florals as long as they are backed up with something sweet or perhaps resins / incense. I tend to not enjoy anything very soapy. I also don't really enjoy very green fragrances. I am averse to overdoses of ambroxan and iso E super (timbersilk or similar) just because I find it annoying! I have no problem with synthetics in perfumery but I do enjoy perfumes that have some notes that at least smell like they could be from nature. My favourite type of perfumery is indie and I love Francesca Bianchi, Teone Reinthal, 4160 Tuesdays and Papillon Artisan Perfumes.

I’ll have to check out Chanel 22 again, it’s been so long, I do like no. 19. The TF Soleige line is so good, I love the Soleil Blanc as well. YSL Paris, is so nostalgic, brings me right back to the 80’s!!💜🩷
The original Chanel no.5 which I still have a bottle of is SO vintage and special, it pairs beautifully with vintage clothing. A timeless classic, but not for everyone, I love it like I love honey. Very sensual.
I feel the same about these short and dark days 😂
They’re so tough!!!
I hear you about the weather! These short days are so depressing. I'm excited because Raleigh is getting a Chanel beauty boutique in 2025 and so I'll be able to test all the Les Exclusifs. 😄 Great video, Claire. I grab for an airy, woody fragrance (or maybe a vanilla fragrance this time of year) when I run out to the shops...something like Tom Ford Santal Blush or Sandalwood in Oak by Scents of Wood. They don't last long on me so it's great for an hour or two.
Great video Claire. I think you need to move to the Southern Hemisphere, it’s going to be 30 degrees here in Sydney today so it’s a hot one. I must agree with you in that I hate the cold, I find it miserable and demotivating. I recently shouted myself a bottle of No 22, what a masterpiece of a perfume it is. I cannot wear No 5 as it gives me a headache but No 22 hits the spot. I wore it mixed with 31 Rue Cambon last week and the Beauty Therapist doing my laser treatment told me I smelt beautiful 😊
I love your choices. Some I have; others I want to try. I prefer Eau Premiere flanker of No5 for hot humid Florida. Agreed, Papillon and Francesca Bianchi are commitments 😅
Haha wearing Shalimar edp today!! 😁 I loved your descriptions Claire!
Cheers Don you’re smelling fab!!
I could be crazy, but I do find a slight similarity between Hera and vintage Paris 🤔 Might explain why I love them both so much!! 🤣 xx
I can see that, I get violet from Hera which I assume comes from the iris
No.5 is terrible but I can't deny it is one of the all time greats
😂😂😂😂
🌹
It’s not just England taken over by darkness
I don’t like this time of year! 🥶
It’s pants!!! 🥶🥶

👋😁
Hi 👋🏻 😁
I remember when Soufflé de Parfum came out. I heard a makeup TH-camr in Canada mention it and I wanted to try it. My local Guerlain lady said it hadn’t come to the UK yet, or it was exclusive to the boutiques. I still have never smelled it! 😁🍋
I hope you can try it soon, I’ve a sneaking suspicion it might get discontinued soon
@@Smurfygurly I’ll try to get a sample! ❤
