I love these types of videos where people are doing something they’re not used to, it’s super fun to watch, and a lot of the advice is applicable to us as the viewers
Yes. And professional athletes are usually very good learners, so you can see progression and how and why this advice works. It's the ideal showcase :)
Oh my God, I laughed so hard at 15:37. We saw a hint of the cool boulders Emil and Matilda cooked up, eager to see what crack (probably) Pete had in store, only to see him curled up in a terrible looking position, as if trapped in a box 😂. Cool video!
When you got the hand in good for the first time (around 12:52) it almost looks like you slowed down the video because you caught the swing so good, was amazing to watch! And to the last question it is a big fat "hell yeah I wanna see that!"
For you three the video idea with everyone setting at their own style near their flash grade sounds like a perfect idea! Super looking forward to that one!
Awesome video as always! Great dialogs! I have to admit, now I want to see Pete do rainbow rocket ;).... uhhhh or a replica of rainbow rocket with a crack instead of the jug as the top... 'Crack in the rainbow' basically! The paddle to crack dyno boulder was great! To me it looks like the the first half of a world cup boulder (with the crack being zone and then afterwards maybe a more complex top)
Great video. Was great for those of us that suck at dynos. Really interesting to see you walk someone with less experience “dynoing” through different type of dynos and how to approach them.
It's very boulder-bro to say "Look I know you can do this move statically and efficiently, but what if you started off balance and swung wildly instead?"
sneaky canonball at 1:40 ... now that i see you doing it from the side, i get a better understanding of how high i actually jumped to reach the last good hold on this dyno :D
It’ll be so cool to see you put up those insane blocks in my local gym in the next video. I’m not at a level to establish a start on any of those, but they’re something to look at. ✨
Really great video Emil! I enjoyed the shit out of it :P The colaborations are really fun to watch! I very much look forward to see you all suffer at the strength of the others! ;)
Emil, NJ with crack dyno! I think Pete will be better at this because he make some staff like that with Toby, but u make it more static and did that, Pete had problem with big swing, but i know he will make it after rest. Thx for great collab!
I would love a toby vs pete vs emil showdown, there's the perfect amount of overlap between your styles. As long as Toby can climb with his finger injury :(
just was wondering if you could post the grades of the problems on the screen. just because Im looking at some of these thinking I could definitely do them when in reality they are probably a lot harder then they look! thanks for the awesome video :)
Hilarious! How many euphemisms can we come up with for "Pete can't dyno"? (Not the jumpiest sheep in the herd... His springiness is not epic yet...) I'm not sure if this was meant to be a funny video, but I was laughing the whole time!
He's becoming quite springy though, you can see the improvement in this video alone after just a few repetitions, but even more so on his recent parkour videos! The only problem is that if he really learns to dyno he'll soon run out of weaknesses!
Can you paddle a crack? So dynamic movement to a crack volume to then continue momentum to another crack volume to a jug? I'm probably climbing 10c+ in my head here and its actually impossible without broken limbs. 😂
That’s visionary. I think it could work if you make the move big enough? My first video with Pete (online Collab in 2021) I set a crack dyno from a crack to a crack, and realiztically I think it’d be possible to just extend that move and make it bigger!
Anyone have any tips for what you have to train to be able to do the move that Pete couldn't do? It seems like for those moves I just slide right off, just like Pete was doing. It's definitely not a case of Pete's fingers being too weak right?
This dyno to crack would be great to see in comps but I think they won't allow crack gloves. It would be terrible for the clmbers' skin. (I'm just assuming since they also don't allow knee pads for knee bars.)
Climbing youtube content has just become so embarrassingly lazy and degenerate that I have to unfollow all of these kinds of accounts. I'm not personally blaming Emil or Pete. They're just addicted to the opium of youtube click revenue and are just following the incentives placed in front of them.
To be fair I think people spend way more time on their TH-cam videos nowadays than before, so lazy is probably not the right word. Gimmicky I could buy, and if that’s not your thing that’s totally understandable. But I think most of us who makes those videos think it’s a lot of fun, atleast more so than making the 119645th random outdoor “watch me send stuff and look at my (d)tick-list” compilation video 😅 don’t get me wrong, I watch a lot of those as well and I get inspired by them, they’re just not so fun to make imo. Anyway, if it’s not your cup of tea, I hope you find something else on this massive platform to make your boat float ❤️
@@EmilAbrahamsson Huge respect to you for replying, Emil. I will admit that your outdoor trad send video was very engaging to watch and I hope you continue your journey into more adventure-style climbing. Congrats on the redpoint. You have the fitness and talent to do the type of climbing that will take you anywhere you want in the mountains on some amazing and unique pitches.
Such good fun Emil. Thanks for the tips and training 😀
The sheep at the beginning was brilliant 😂
proper made me chuckle 😂 made me think of the dyno you nearly knocked yourself out on
Love the beanie wearing Pete pic! 😂 classic mellow boulderer now
I love how Toby has become so famous in the climbing community already that you dont even need a surname to know who we're talking about lol
honestly i thought about Toby Roberts
Fair enough
There's Toby Roberts of course, but I think the clear Pete connection helps here.
A Toby Segar, Pete Whittaker and Emil Abrahamsson crossover would be so crazy to watch
Would really like to see Emil trying some parkour stuff!!
@@DominiqueRob347 I think he would be great at all the running jumping and climbing, but can he flip 😂
Maybe magnus too🤷🏼♂️
Yess!
Not after Toby tore his left hand tendons 😬

Really love to see these collabs. The TH-cam world of climbing feels so wholesome right now!
Emil and Pete have to be the nicest TH-cam climber collab we’ve had yet
Love that instead of turning Pete into a compkid, he made you one step closer to a trad dad.
would love to see toby and pete battling it out in stockholm
For you three the video idea with everyone setting at their own style near their flash grade sounds like a perfect idea! Super looking forward to that one!
I would love to have a coach like Emil. Elite cueing. This guy knows what he is doing.
Thanks Emil, well done! We need Toby and Pete in Stockholm for sure!! Can't wait for the next video with Matilda and Pete :)
these next videos look like theyre going to be so goddamn good hahahaha cant wait
pete crimping the wall panel is so relatable 😭
Is so crazy to see such a legend "struggling" with gym dynos, Pete is the best
Great video! Still laughing of Trad-dad 😂

BUT I AM ALREADY SUBSCRIBED!
Jokes aside, the end 'teaser' was a good, well presented idea.
Cheers!
This was so fun to watch, can't wait for the next one!
The thing is, pete is not only a trad dad, but also just possesses elite level strength and skill 😂😂
This is flippin' ace! Fab video!
Visited Åsane Klatreklubb a few times and it is an absolutely brilliant place. It's great seeing it again!

The content is gold, just gold😂👏
This is so great
I am really excited for the next episode
The thumbnail alone is already a real treat😎.
Such a great video!!
hello i am politely requesting more content from this duo you guys are awesome
Just IMAGINE having Pete, Toby and Emil in one video. That would be so f-in good.

He did take me out to some crazy Dyno on trad but we didn’t get around to trying it unfortunately
love me mini shorts Emil!!!

Emil trying parkour with Toby would be epic
Emil is such a good coach 😃

The half-dynamic duo 😅
Emil should put a baby in Matilda to produce the ultimate dyno crimper. #Epigenetics
I bet Pete Witaker loves being called a dad 😂
This dyno to a one handed crack looks like a good way to break your wrist 😟
Toby? yes please!
We so wanna see Toby and Pete together.
Pete's boulder looks so squished and awkward hahahah.

Yes please on Toby and Pete in Stockholm
Great job on that crack dyno
these are cool vids
Yes please to Pete and Toby

I was waiting for someone to injure themselves on all the brush sticks and drills lying around.
