I think there are two versions of this motor out in the wild. One with the top bearing pressed on the bell making the bell extremely difficult to get off and another version with the top bearing not pressed on the bell but in the stator and in that case the bell comes off easily. These two version feel differently when you spin them with your fingers. I've flown the second version and have two of the first version that I recently ordered as replacements so I can swap out when I need to change bearings. I damaged all 4 top bearings in the second version of the motor on a hard belly impact on cement with an apex 5" frame (must have bounced 20 feet), so currently working on repressing all of those bearings since the bell was super easy to get off.
@@CoppertopFPV that is really strange, i was able to pull the bells off these ones with my fingers after screwing it to a spare arm. but the teal one that I suspect is a different version with the bearing pressed to the bell I can't get off without some serious effort and tools.
Nope. I think you'd struggle to get a bad motor these days, I just like rcinpower from personal experience although the prices are creeping up as they get popular.
Wish some UK retailers would start stocking this brand, I've wanted a set for a long time but can't bring myself to order from Banggood. I've tried out the old GTS v2's on a friend's quad and they felt really nice.
im considering putting the 2208.5 1722kv hyperlites on a 6s 6inch kissed slammed alien.. going to run the ethix k2 props on it.. i love rcinpower tho.. what do you think about these vs those 2208.5 hyperlites? im sorta going for stupid fun -- and maybe some long range at low throttle... would love to hear waht you think about that motor vs smooX
I haven't used hyperlite since the I did light weight 2204 experiments so couldn't say. Interesting choice that tho. Be curious to hear how you get on. My own 6" big motor rigs have left me frustrated by the lack of efficency I was getting so perhaps the ethix bi blades will sort that
Between this motors and the T motor pacers, which ones do you think are smoother and have more punch? I really want to do an upgrade and I've ended up between this two and can't decide if the smoox are better or not. Great video btw!
Haha. TMotor F60 pro v1 one were great and indestructable. My pro 2 2150kv split their bells which was a common problem and have long since gone into the trash and I haven't used them recently. My days of paying 22 quid for a motor are well behind me and cos I wouldn't personally buy them I don't review them.
@@CoppertopFPV yeah 22 is a lot...still bloody nice performance....BTW I heard that RCInpower make the Xing motors...would make sense seeing as the Xing are now one piece bell...maybe you got unlucky with those pink ones...
@@stevejhkhfda nothing wrong with the xings. I've got loads and that's the only one but the bells are a lot thinner and lighter than rcinpower. They aren't rcinpower tho. They've sold so many they likely manufacturer them themselves now as they're killing everyone else
The lightweight updates on the Pro-II and Pro-III line seems to have made the bells a touch fragile, though the performance is absolutely brilliant. XING are impressive in their own right, and are still arguably the best motors for bashing and freestyle since they can withstand a little bit more mechanical abuse.
I’ve been tempted to try these motors they look the business and they are often on sale. The T motor F40 pro II has been my best experience over the past few years and Ive only just recently started using the pro IV. The price sucks but I’ve had a similar experience to yourself when it comes to trying other options. Thanks for sharing your experience with them, might grab a set next time I see them on sale 👍
They're 4 for £59 on banggood currently and if you keep your eyes out you can often trade points for 20% off vouchers. I just bought 4 for 12 quid each 😁
Coppertop FPV Coppertop FPV Cheers mate, found the set of 4 in teal colour which come in at $115 AUD with a discount coupon. That works out to about £15.50 each using current exchange rates. They are usually £23 each locally which is how much I pay for Tmotor F40 Pro IV so it’s a good deal for me thanks 👍
Speaking of orange motors. The E series from hyperlite I’m loving right now. I run the 1722’s on one of my arc one race rigs and 1922 on the switchback. They are opposite coloring of the team editions so the orange is on top. 👍
The newer (Vanover and forward) RCINPower motors are impressive - for racing the bell top construction isn't quite as abuse-proof as others, as we tend to fly directly into gates a lot, but the performance is remarkably impressive. A lot of the older designs are pretty high performance, although my 1108's are outliers in both how well they perform, and how much I've been struggling with the windings getting hurt and getting desyncs. There aren't that many OEMs, and the Apex Hornet motors look to me like the most versatile set of RCINPower ones. For my personal taste, the older generation 3BH 2207's are the prettiest motors around, with the BH R6 2207's in a close second place... but the practical side of me wants to just start running the TMotor Velox motors in 2207 and be content with that, since 1950KV is my preference overall. Pricy in many cases, although the Velox line looks pretty great. My personal suspicion is that those are rebranded SunnySky motors, but that's also an excellent thing, since those Edge Racing motors they appear to be based on are phenomenal performers.
tehllama42 Love the T motors, much more robust than they appear and they fly great. I bought a set of Velox to try out and they fly great but heavier and not as robust as the F40 pros, but less than half the price too 😂
