The reason why you were fired, you need to understand, is because as a public figure with such a cult like following, you went live on air and made insensitive remarks about a victim of violence. You had a voice, young people looked up to you, and you should have known better. Even now you are making excuses saying people were sensitive coz it was covid season and they were going through alot, you still see nothing wrong with what you said. I always say put yourself in the shoes of the victims. How would you feel if one of your daughters; Nia or Milan was thrown off a balcony and someone made the remarks that you did? You think your children are safer because you're a hot shot? Or because you taught them better or they have privileges or are not rachets or whatever?? they ain't. They can only be safe if each one of us, including you, takes a stand against any injustices big or small. Any type of violence or injustice against any human being should not be in any way, shape or form tolerated or made light of. If one person is hungry in the world we are all hungry, if one person is unsafe we are all unsafe, if one person is suffering we all suffer. The day humanity gets that through their thick skulls, will be the day we redeem ourselves. So you can be the GOAT of radio like many people here are hailing you as, but if you aint got love and compassion for you fellow human being, you aint it.

And Nairobi women reminded him there are different calibres of women out here, many who are movers and shakers, and that's why his ass in now jobless. So no, there were no facts stated there. Sorry. If Nairobi women were as inept as what he described, he'd still have a job. And even if they were, it doesnt justify violence!!!!!And just coz you move in circles where people ain't got their shit together you think the whole world is like that. People weren't sensitive. Women's lives are constantly at risk daily, thanks to patriarchy. That's our reality, we live it from the day we're born to the day we die. You were a man in a place of power and influence with a platform who chose to perpetrate and co-sign violence against women. I'd expect that you'd take the time to reflect and educate yourself to be better a person but nah. I was hoping you'd apologise at least. Maybe my expectations are too high. Maybe you're still learning but I'm a little disappointed that two years later, you're still blaming your former employer for your lack of awareness.

Why can't these " firees '" from these radio stations and tv stations not get together and start their own media house. They would be interesting. I hate disrespect metted out on an employee because of arrogance on the part of employers.
Sometimes and many a times success arises from such actions. An example in my field is one US company that used to produce inverters called Trace Engineering, the engineering department walked out and formed their own right behind their former company. They called it outback. Literally meaning out at the back of the other street in Arlington.
Wake up media tools. Without you, those major media houses will not exist. You are the tools. If you got no courage, get in touch with me.

Okay icon or not. Shaffie had a job just like any other person. A job that came with a platform. And with that kind of power comes responsibility. He's said alot but didn't take responsibility for his actions. He wasn't fired for the need for company cuts or people hating for no reason, he was fired for using his platform to silence victims and give power to sexual injustices that happen every day to women. Something that no man ever has to walk around with. Fame and money got to his head to thinking he is unquestionable. And even now it's the insensitivity to the situation calling it a circus. Sir, maybe if you take accountabilty for your part in the 'circus' and the potential your words had, or even bring that conversation to the table you would have more going for you. It's the adamant refusal to grow "I've been doing this for 15 years..." And the world has changed in those 15 years. Women are no longer accepting blame for acts that victimise them and many other things. Growth is the only constant in life!
