- Welcome Traveler Family as we share our experience at the REOPENING of Disney's Kona Café for Dinner. We were joined by Jonathan and Debbie at Disney's Polynesian Resort and had a great time seeing the change in décor at this iconic Disney Restaurant.
A gentle reminder that we are changing our upload days to Wednesday and Saturdays. Wednesdays will now be our "Traveling Around Disney" days when we share with you the best of the best restaurants that we have found that are within 5-15 minutes of Walt Disney World Property. Saturdays will be our Disney Quest Dining Review as we continue on our quest to eat and video at all 387 Walt Disney World Dining Locations. Did you know that there are 425 unique dining menus among those 387 locations? That's a lot of food!

I agree Todd, the restaurant has a very minimalistic look. The colors also are so light, and the restaurant sounds so loud now.

They are fantastic Sydney. With some rice they would be a perfect meal. The burger was great. Wish the would have put more changes into the menu. Hope you have a great weekend.

On to Kona Cafe, I have a lunch reservation Thanksgiving Week. I enjoy the restaurant and especially enjoy seeing the Christmas decorations there!🎄
Hi Laurie! We so appreciate the comment. We continue to provide videos for our Traveler Family to hopefully allow our Travelers to be prepared on their dining choices exactly as you describe. We are delighted that you feel this way! Our Patreon memberships are simply a way for those who wish to support our efforts. We will continue to stand by what we said in the beginning that we will not require any type of payment by our Traveler Family for any extra content.
As for the video! I suggest trying the lunch first if you are able. I especially enjoy the noodles and was sad that the waitress did not offer those for our dinner dining. Hope to see you soon! -Michelle

Yay! Kona has reopened!
A few years ago they did have the best bread with pineapple butter, it was a big round loaf if I recall properly, they definitely have changed it. 🍞🍍🧈

Ale J That’s what we thought about the bread service plus we thought it had macadamia nuts also. It was good but will definitely be going at lunch going forward to get the noodles. Stay safe friends…

Yep we had such high hopes for the remodel and menu. It was pretty much the same menu and honestly the interior was just lack luster. Hope you guys guys are doing great.

Hi Michelle & Todd, we are currently in the area and wanted to let you know about a place we found it’s called BJ’s and it’s a chain in a few states. Not sure if you tried it but they have a vast menu with a lot of choices. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday after 4 for $31.00 they have a 15 ounce prime rib, with 2 sides, a choice of soup or salad and a full size size cookie with 2 scoops of cream (for todd). We went for lunch and since it was ready we were able to get it. And if you go ask for Lisa k as she was excellent and we went with all of her suggestions. Thank you
Susan funny you should mention them. We are going to do a review of the one near Disney Springs soon. We actually use to go to the one in Gainesville all the time. You are correct about the menu. I love there Cream Soda. Stay tuned and thanks for the suggestion. Hope your having a great week.

Thanks for another great video. The pot stickers are our favorite!! I'm surprised they didn't offer to make you the lunch noodles. Even though they're not on the dinner menu, they used to make it for us at dinnertime. Thanks for taking us along. Stay safe.
We agree potstickers are absolutely fantastic. We were surprised also about the noodles. So we will just plan on going for lunches in the future. Hope you guys are doing great.

Disappointed about noodles...heard you can order them off menu! Wonder if you could order the bread pudding hot...Thanks for the review!
We were two. 3 of us at the table wanted them and the server told us it was only at lunch time now for the noodle stir fry. She made it sound like that wasn’t an option. We could have went to the lounge and ordered the Ohana noodles I guess we could have asked about the bread pudding but it really wasn’t a biggie. We will just make this a lunch spot now so we can get the noodles lol
Im a sucker for a good burger. Where did that 1 rank on your pantheon of on property burgers?
Great question. I would definitely say it’s in the top five. Had a great taste and loved all the other meats it had on it. I need to start writ down the ones we try so we can do a real comparison. Hope you guys have a great weekend.
