He didn't mean anything of it when he said it. Larson defiantly learned his lesson. I would've thought that he was gonna get a huge fine and a loss of qualifying and practice though. At least some sponsor's stayed with him though.
If NASCAR is going to be taken seriously by the larger general public about their want to separate themselves from this behavior they need to go hard on him. By hard I mean, at least suspension for the rest of this year from sanctioned events (whether it's public appearances or races). Next year revisit this and allow him to participate in public appearances and other things and allow himself to show he's changed and grown from this before putting him in the car. Giving him a time out and putting him back in a car in a couple months will not help NASCAR in general.
NASCAR is full of gimmicks, manufactured racing, low HP cars, too many rules and a frustrated fan base... If Larson loses his ride over this, it'll be NASCAR'S loss and dirt track racing's gain...

What a shame. No reason for that. I have no idea what his future holds, even Ganassi. My heart sank when I saw that report. I can see Ganassi backing out of the sport sooner rather than later. Actually had solid sponsers too. All waste.
I agree with you Eric, a few people told me that he should go to Stewart HAAS Racing or Richard Childress Racing, but I said I don't think any of those teams are going sign a contract with him due to his actions and words he said, my opinion was that he should go to the not-so-good NASCAR teams like Premium Motorsports or StarCom Racing or just go back to the Xfinity Series, or worse the Gander Truck Series, and I also think that either Chris Buescher or Brendan Matt Crafton should replace Kyle. This was not an accident it was purposely that he said a not-appropriate word, and also over 1,000 people heard Larson say that word, and was very offensive to Darrell Wallace. Jr and other African-American's they were hurt and offended about it, but thanks for making this video Eric ;).
I'm hoping this brings out the double standard into a conversation, if one can say it than all can, if it's not nice to say then everyone who says it should get this backlash.
Nic Sutton your entitlement is showing. Just because someone else says a variation of it, doesn’t mean you have the right to. Let black rappers and those in that community have that variation of the word Kyle used. He said a (clearly) different variation.

It’s ashame he had such a good future in nascar but now all this he’s the modern day Jeremy Mayfield we all had him winning a cup championship down the road and being inducted in the hall of fame but now we’re gonna remember him for the racial slur that cost him his career and his life
Eric, your points were beautifully stated and I agree but America is a forgiving society & a land of 2nd chances so he’ll be alright eventually. Most likely at SHR!
This is very sad one slip of the tongue ruins a guy ?? REALLY well McDonald's,credit one bank and the rest of his sponsors and NASCAR just lost another person !!!! ME smh this WORLD is sad glad my time here is short feel sorry for other people
DobyDuke you know damn well the difference, White people that say that word the way he said it, Is with hate and racism in their hearts just like your ancestors did (if your white)
Keilah Williams There's a difference yes, however...Its a bit of a bold statement to assume that someone's ancestors were racists(if they were white) in a youtube comment section. What you just said is exactly some shit i wouldnt have said live in a e-sport event like this. Smh
It's actually quite easy to not use an offensive word when you don't think of people in such offensive terms or when you hear others use it, you reject it from remaining within your own internal dialogue.
What’s crazy is he’s young with two kids right? He’s probably good financially but, money doesn’t last forever if you build yourself a life you can’t afford.
Im a larson fan ever since he was 14. I dont see why nascar is taking action. Iracing i understand. What if bubba wallace says it, probably nothing. Although were i live, its a common word. On another note. I would like to see AJ Allmindinger drive the 42 car if it comes to it. And for larson. Free agent. SHR is his best option....
@@x_Odin My theory (supported by absolutely nothing) is that since Bubba and Larson know they're the minority drivers in NASCAR (plus Suarez) that they felt/feel comfortable enough with each other to trade racial barbs in a friendly/joking manner Sunday night. IF Larson was actually trying to speak to Bubba (seen mixed reports on that), that's honestly the only explanation that I could remotely come up with... I've been a Larson fan since 2010 watching him on the dirt tracks in CA so I'm very disappointed in him and hope there will be a path back to stardom in due time post sensitivity training.
I'm still confused, did he say "nigga" or "nigger"? Cause there's a difference in sentencing. He either gets 30 lashes across the back with 30 days picking cotton or just 30 days picking cotton, depends on the "a" or the "er".
Hope he loses his ride over this. NASCAR needs to make an example out of him. I’ve been a fan of him and supported him for the last 4 years, and I couldn’t be more disappointed. He’s gonna have to work his way up all over again and improve himself. Sadly he’s been showing a side of himself lately that’s just plain immature and stupid. NASCAR definitely didn’t need this.
Huge long-time Kyle Larson fan here, words cannot describe how disappointed I am. What he said is inexcusable for me and no matter what happens there's no way I could ever support him again like I used to. Yes, people make mistakes, But people have to suffer the consequences for those mistakes. Already shelved all of my 42 merch deep into my closet where I hope to never see it again.
So so done with NASCAR been a big fan for many many years!! No Kyle Larson no Nascar!!! I really hope I can go see him on dirt!!! Dirt racing is becoming so much popular then Nascar!!!
Speaking of racial slurs....I've head other NASCAR drivers say things about Joey Lagano's eyes on national tv and not one word was uttered about it afterwards. While I believe Kyle should not have said what he said...I don't think he should have lost his career over it due to the context in how it was said. If he is apologetic and does community service or something he should be redeemable. We all make mistakes. We are all human.
Ironically this isn't even the first racist incident Larson has been involved with. TYT sports mentioned an old tweet of Larson's about Colin Kaepernick which was racist in itself. It's not the first time he's done this and that's the messed up part and why there's stiff penalties on him now
A very wise man once said: “Think before you speak.” The lesson here is that if you don’t think before you speak, there’s possibly going to be consequences, and this is a perfect example of why you should not just blurt something out that is potentially offensive to others.
@The Mountain i second your opinion. Its kinda RACIST to allow black rappers to say the hard R but white people arent allowed to use those words if singing the same rap. Words are words, your skin colour shouldn't determine what you are allowed to say. The problem is that it isn't even black people normally offended by these things, but white people. People need to grow up.
@The Mountain that's my point. Rules and punishment like this only apply to whites. Not only is there no consequences for open hatred towards whites it's encouraged and often rewarded.
Kyle Larson: can you hear me, Racial-slur: *I’m* *about* *to* *end* *this* *mans* *whole* *career* (Edit) I’m so sad this happened (Edit 2) now he’s fired and I’ll see you guys on the other side 🔪😔

This country is race obsessed.
@@MartinRiggs1820 that will happen when you let ethnocentric third worlders that hate whites become the new majority while you teach everybody in public schools that white people are horrible and deserving of persecution. It's only going to get worse from here as Whites become the scapegoated minority.
Hey Eric I love your videos and keep up the amazing work when you did did diecast races I use to watch them every day
NASCAR is full of gimmicks, manufactured racing, low HP cars, too many rules and a frustrated fan base... If Larson loses his ride over this, it'll be NASCAR'S loss and dirt track racing's gain...
I stand for for Freedom of Speech whether I like what is said or not. I do not stand for cancel culture because some whiney fruit cakes cant handle things.
Those who scream the loudest have the most to hide! May those who have never done a thing wrong cast the first stone. until that person comes forth shut up and grow a pair.
He made a mistake and he will Live and Learn, no need to ruin a career
We all say things we regret a lot of drivers use inappropriate language durning a race it shows some people can say what ever some can’t!
Go Fas is ready to open up that 2nd car now I see
Chaseelliott RacingFan9 I’m joking
What a shame. No reason for that. I have no idea what his future holds, even Ganassi. My heart sank when I saw that report. I can see Ganassi backing out of the sport sooner rather than later. Actually had solid sponsers too. All waste.
That sucks is not right to do that to him
I agree with you Eric, a few people told me that he should go to Stewart HAAS Racing or Richard Childress Racing, but I said I don't think any of those teams are going sign a contract with him due to his actions and words he said, my opinion was that he should go to the not-so-good NASCAR teams like Premium Motorsports or StarCom Racing or just go back to the Xfinity Series, or worse the Gander Truck Series, and I also think that either Chris Buescher or Brendan Matt Crafton should replace Kyle. This was not an accident it was purposely that he said a not-appropriate word, and also over 1,000 people heard Larson say that word, and was very offensive to Darrell Wallace. Jr and other African-American's they were hurt and offended about it, but thanks for making this video Eric ;).
Way I see it, he’s done, he won’t race in nascar and if he does it’ll be a low tier team, such a shame, seriously, such a damn shame
Wow iracing really out here destroying racers careers
I'm hoping this brings out the double standard into a conversation, if one can say it than all can, if it's not nice to say then everyone who says it should get this backlash.
Nic Sutton your entitlement is showing. Just because someone else says a variation of it, doesn’t mean you have the right to. Let black rappers and those in that community have that variation of the word Kyle used. He said a (clearly) different variation.
Edit on my comment 18 hours ago. Just got word about Larson and Chip Ganassi parting ways. For that, and until Larson is reinstated by NASCAR, my season is officially over, and will now be focusing more on getting the NHL back.
I don't like larsons actions by any means. He did apologize and I applaud him for that. But I really hope he doesn't end up like aj allmendinger and Penske
Edit: this aged badly
My first year watching the sport in a very long time and it's been an ugly one all around. Things like this obviously don't represent the sport however it is a strange situation.
Yeah continue watching old races because there's been better years..
This is my first year as well and damn is my head spinning
Who cares! He didn’t mean it.
Only because they are making a big deal out of it. Who cares!! Get over it
eagles 1538 and look at the way you comment to me!
eagles 1538 so watch what you say. Oh and get a life
"idiot" and "moron" are pretty hurtful, too.
It’s ashame he had such a good future in nascar but now all this he’s the modern day Jeremy Mayfield we all had him winning a cup championship down the road and being inducted in the hall of fame but now we’re gonna remember him for the racial slur that cost him his career and his life
Well said, Eric. I am black and a huge Kyle Larson fan myself. It was so disappointing.
It's going to be really hard to recover from this
I mean we all used cursed words but yeah you can't say that in public
We need a Kyle Larson memorial 😭
He didn't die
HunterZ his career did
@@jeremiahs5781 oof
Eric, your points were beautifully stated and I agree but America is a forgiving society & a land of 2nd chances so he’ll be alright eventually. Most likely at SHR!
This is very sad one slip of the tongue ruins a guy ?? REALLY well McDonald's,credit one bank and the rest of his sponsors and NASCAR just lost another person !!!! ME smh this WORLD is sad glad my time here is short feel sorry for other people
Clover also terminated their sponsorship.
So black folks be like what he just say. Then they go listen to rap music where the word is in every other sentence
DobyDuke you know damn well the difference, White people that say that word the way he said it, Is with hate and racism in their hearts just like your ancestors did (if your white)
Keilah Williams
There's a difference yes, however...Its a bit of a bold statement to assume that someone's ancestors were racists(if they were white) in a youtube comment section. What you just said is exactly some shit i wouldnt have said live in a e-sport event like this. Smh
@@keke8509 hahahah snowflake he aint white go back to CNN
Bubba boutta throw hands
It's actually quite easy to not use an offensive word when you don't think of people in such offensive terms or when you hear others use it, you reject it from remaining within your own internal dialogue.
What’s crazy is he’s young with two kids right? He’s probably good financially but, money doesn’t last forever if you build yourself a life you can’t afford.
I heard Chevy dropped him. When the fuck did manufactures get to control over who the teams hire???

2020:
Im bout to end my year career
Im a larson fan ever since he was 14. I dont see why nascar is taking action. Iracing i understand. What if bubba wallace says it, probably nothing.
Although were i live, its a common word. On another note. I would like to see AJ Allmindinger drive the 42 car if it comes to it. And for larson. Free agent. SHR is his best option....
He actually said the word TO Bubba
Karl Singleton really? Yeah that kinda confirms my theory that’s he was just being edgy
Coming back 4 years later
I'm still confused, did he say "nigga" or "nigger"? Cause there's a difference in sentencing. He either gets 30 lashes across the back with 30 days picking cotton or just 30 days picking cotton, depends on the "a" or the "er".
kennesth to the 6, chastain to the 42....
Well this happened
I got to say...
Can we go back to Ranting about the
Gen 5 cars
Sticks and stones my break my bones but words will never hurt me! Grow up people haha
Later: Kyle Larson gets arrested
One of the biggest overreactions I’ve ever seen
It is, it shows that things have been too easy for too long in the US.
sTc PreCiSe you’re ignorant
And now he is fired
Sad. All this is a little extreme.
Ironically this isn't even the first racist incident Larson has been involved with. TYT sports mentioned an old tweet of Larson's about Colin Kaepernick which was racist in itself. It's not the first time he's done this and that's the messed up part and why there's stiff penalties on him now
Bubba rage quitting and losing sponsers, larson saying the word and being suspended next thing we know chase Elliott is gonna kill someone
Truexfan01 nascar or runs a dogfighting ring
ohgodpleaseno
Turns out Erik Jones runs an OnlyFans account
LMAO
Good maybe he'll get indefinitely suspended and we can watch people try and defend him
Annnnnnnnnnd he won the championship
A very wise man once said:
“Think before you speak.”
The lesson here is that if you don’t think before you speak, there’s possibly going to be consequences, and this is a perfect example of why you should not just blurt something out that is potentially offensive to others.
That's a great saying. Larson will have to deal with the consequences
*if you're white.
Ksquizzles4209 yes correct because whites came up with the demeaning term in the first place so yes be mad at the proper party! ☺️
Reminds me of that one episode of South Park where Randy says the N-Word on Wheel of Fortune
Yeah LoL 😅😅
Ahaha
YASSSS! That was hilarious. LOL at pandering.
Kyle Larson: can you hear me,
Racial-slur: *I’m* *about* *to* *end* *this* *mans* *whole* *career*

Bubba: join us, no sponsor
Kyle Larson with the hard R
Why do these comments get likes anymore?
Are you sure about that?
I’m so over 2020
The situation doesnt help the “typical nascar fan stereotype”
The people defending him make it even worse. The community response is the disgusting thing here.
@@jacobunruh9045 So true. Disgusting even seeing the ratio of likes/dislikes in videos about what happened. People bend into pretzels trying to come up with clever ways to claim defending what he said isn't racist... but it is.
