But just seconds later CJ has to realize that his mother hasn't been told yet the second secret (that Bridget is in love with Ridge, Ridge also has some (messed up) feelings for Bridget). And then CJ kinda remembers that Bridget won't like it if anyone finds out about that secret, so his mother has to promise to not tell anyone what CJ just has told Sally. 😂

So apparently, Thorne could bareIy leave Macy's side to go to _Brooke and Ridge's_ wedding. Why did we not get to see the (undoubtedly awkward) scene where Thorne told Macy where he was going? There aren't enough I Told You So t-shirts in the world to describe the I Told You So-ness that Macy must have experienced in that moment. (By the way, note how the show has deliberately left Macy out of _all_ the Forrester family gatherings ever since she returned, and vice versa. She was not at Eric and Stephanie's renewal ceremony, or at Bridget's going away party, or at the surprise engagement party for Ridge and Brooke, or at Massimo's pre-wedding party, or at this wedding. And no Forrester went to her and Thorne's reunion celebration at the Café Russe. It's like she isn't even on the same show.)
Macy's pretty much always been on the fringes of the Forrester family, except for when they were throwing her in jail...And also when she and Thorne 2 finally got married at the beach (post Anthony saga). But even that second marriage Macy wasn't really involved in the family bc the drama between CJ and Rick started after Macy and Thorne left the ceremony for the honeymoon. But I think it was for the best that they didn't intertwine Macy so much in there... I really can't see her meddling up too much in any of the Forrester drama. Great points by both of you. I've always said it doesn't make sense to turn Brooke into a heroine because the actress doesn't fit that role and the character's history can't be reconciled with it either.
I've said something quite like that in the next episode, about Brooke's pride and dignity, that she has never had, rejecting Ridge at the altar or rejecting a proposal by him even when she knew he had someone else in mind.
