CHEPS Webinar: Investor Perspective on Hydrogen and the Energy Transition

The lecture will involve a discussion of the opportunities and challenges presented by hydrogen in reducing the carbon intensity of the energy and industrial sectors, including transportation. From the point of view of a climate-focused investor, the lectures will explore the combination of technical, economic, commercial and policy conditions required to achieve decarbonization at scale.

About the speaker
James Mackey is the Managing Director of Project Capital for OGCI Climate Investments, LLP. He leads the team responsible for investing in real assets that recycle and store greenhouse gas emissions from large industrial facilities. Before joining Climate Investments, James was Senior Vice President of Finance for Apex Clean Energy, a leading developer of wind and solar generation facilities in North America. He was previously Head of Mergers and Acquisitions for NextEra Energy Resources and has held senior commercial roles with Dynegy, J.P. Morgan and Duke Energy. James holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a BA in Economics from Trinity College.
