- In today's episode I will be flipping 10 new thrifted pieces into classy and timeless decor. When creating timeless decor it can be used indefinitely without going out of style. It also blends well with many different design styles like traditional, transitional, cottage, farmhouse, grandmillenial, and many more!

Which one was your favorite?
I think the oval bench….or the lamps….or the navy table….😀
Probably the navy blue collection with the white mirror. And the tray on the bottom came out so good!
I loved the material used on the benches and in the frame. But all of them were great.
Wow I really like the benches. The fabric was perfect. I also liked the navy blue table. Hmmmm all of them are my favorites
I need a table with magazine holders for between my husband and my recliners, for our laptops! They look so elderly. So I'm loving your refresh for the piece! ❤️
You are so very talented and it is lovely seeing you work with minimal equipment. It encourages people like me to go ahead and give it a try and if at first I don’t succeed I can try again. Thank you.
Thank you Deborah. You can do it
I love everything you have done with the furniture and the paintings with the fabric on the frame. I hope when you are in your new home, you will showcase your new home with the new items.
Really love your Mom's craft room!
I just wanted to tell you that I sold my first furniture flip. It was fun! I learned a lot from you, and bought many of the supplies you recommended. So...thank you!
The navy stand and tray are my favs. Love nautical inspired decor!👍
Thank you Robin! I love nautical style decor also
Enjoyed. Can't wait to see the new house,
All of it is beautiful and I’ll say it again. You are amazing
Thank you so much Caroline. You are amazing too!
They are all so cute. Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much Gina
@@DesertDIY you’re welcome Cory 💖
Always great to watch you create -- especially for your new home. Take care!
Thank you Donna!
I love the benches and the lamps. This has motivated me to find some small projects like this and work on them.
Great!!! Thank you
Loved all your creations.
Thank you Mary
I love the stools!!!thanks for showing us how to do these with minimal tools, paint, experiencez
Thank you Jade
Love 😍😍😍😍😍 the frame !!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Nadja
I have 2 end tables, a vintage telephone table and now a desk that I'm doing in navy blue. Thank you for all of the info on using this color. I trust you and yes, I too believe that it is timeless.
Loved all the restyles, partially the basket tray. The table with shelves can be classified as an occasional table.
Love the color green you used
I love all of these projects. I am a sucker for navy blue and anything floral so I love that little shelf and the gold picture frame with the fabric the most! I liked everything, though.😄 I can’t wait to see all the wonderful things you’re creating in your new home!🌸
Thank you so much Deborah I am beyond excited to get moved in to the new house
💙 love the blue table
Thank you Alejandra
That blue is the color of my island and accent pieces. Love that!
Great taste!
@@DesertDIY thank you.!😄
Those stools are so pretty
Thank you Darlene
I really like the tray and benches
Thank you Ana
I actually like that the lamps were different shapes
Great I'm glad
Beautifully done. Love it all.
My sister has a table the one you painted blue she said it was a tea cart hers had very small wheels on it. Gorgeous fabrics you picked.
That would make for a very cute tea cart! Thank you
I LOVE the gold frame! You are right, it's the perfect gold tone. Beautiful pieces! The texture on those lamps is lovely.
Thank you so much Leslie
Furniture Archaeologists yes! 😆
Hi Cory! New sub here 🌺 All these projects were awesome! Especially considering you weren't at home in your own workshop space. You worked great with what you had available. A true artist 🖌️ I think my favorite would have to be the "little table shelf thing" That navy blue is just so classic and versatile 💙 -Dyana
Best wishes on your move and new life in Texas.❤
Thank you Susan
Loved watching this! My favorite is the picture frame with the fabric. Such a great idea! Thank you for all these inspirational videos!
Thank you so much
Thanks! I was wanting to do my dining room chairs (old fabric) but it seemed a bit beyond me. I think I might take a shot at it now.
Loved the frame and fabric idea. The two bench stools were pretty too.
Thank you Rebecca
You always make such pretty pieces. I love budget friendly too.
You did great at the auction!!! That's a good way to buy items to make over!!!
Thank you Charlotte I'm so glad you liked them
Wow big difference on the lamps.
Thank you Pamela
I love everything Cory! You are so talented! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you Kim
Great job! Loved your projects! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Laurie
I loved what you did with the gold frame and the navy blue on the little table. Both of these would fit right in my home. You have given me an idea to frame a piece of toile blue and white fabric that I have been thinking of doing some kind of decor with
Thank you Patricia! Excited to hear how yours turns out!
You are so right, that gold paint on the frame is perfect. For that reason the frame is my favorite piece. Are you moving out of the desert? Will you change your channel to Wetlands DIY or some such? 😎
Thank you Patricia! I will keep the same name since that is where I am from
I have always loved navy in my homes. Which color gold is the spray paint for the frame? It is very hard to find a gold that is 'toned down' or looks like a vintage color. Love the fabric picture idea. Always love the vision you have for the furniture you find.

Thank you!
when you move are you going to show a house tour? I bet a lot of people would enjoy that.
Yes definitely. I uploaded a house tour of the house we sold and showed some of my house hunting as well in my previous video
3:47 If you're really cheap like me, check the thrift stores. I do see upholstery fabric from time-to-time, but I used old draperies to cover my dining room chairs. Thay look great and have held up for years.
Thats a really great point!
Oh wow where are you moving too? Love the both of the benches they turned out gorgeous!
Thank you Norma. Texas
The royal blue entry way table is so cute and so are those lamps!
How did you connect the top of the stools to the bottoms?
The 3 shelf table. Did you sturdy it up. Really wobbly while you were painting it.
The tops connect to the frame with screws. They were missing and since all my tools are in storage I'll have to wait until we move in to get the screws out of my storage. Also it isn't as wobbly as it appears in the photo. It was in gravel so it didn't have a firm ground under it when I was sanding it
Love the frame with material! So cute. I was really checking out the cabinet/table/storage (?) unit you were using. Would you share the manufacturer’s info?
Thank you and congrats on the move.
Lovely flips Cory and great to chat to you, take care x
Thank you so much Belle! I was so happy to have you in the chat
@@DesertDIY awe thank you, love your videos ❤️x
Cory are you going to continue refurbishing items when you move? I hope so I really enjoy watching you work.
Absolutely! Thank you Helen
That chalk blue may have worked better if you primed the darker color first.
True!
Cori! I have been out of the loop lately and did not know you are moving. How exciting? Where are you heading to?
And of course, fabulous work that gave me great ideas as always! Blessings and safety.
Thank you Dorothy we are moving to texas
Texas, is that a military move? Move to PA! No desert issues here (wink). I love how you reupholstered the benches. Super! My aunt gave me a magazine rack like yours, and I've been staring at it wondering how in the world supposed to refinish it with all the inside nooks and crannies without dismantling. You solved that with spray paint. Fabulous
Your moving from Arizona …are your parents living in the Houston area or Arizona I’m a grandma I would miss my grandkids hopefully your presents live Houston area ..are going to change your name from the desert diyer to the Texas diyer or gulf coast diyer? I hope your looking forward to your move here…we’ve been here since 1983! We love it!
Thank you so much. My parents are going to be traveling the u.s. in an rv soon and we have family spread out all over the place. We are very excited for our new adventure. I will be keeping the name Desert DIY since that's where I am from
Love your work. Why are you moving?
More opportunities and family
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💕
❤😊😊😊
I loved the fabric, but not the green.
Thank you Sharon! Blue, taupe, or gray would've looked nice as well
🥰🌹✅👍
How is that sweet baby girl? She must be growing. I have a great baby girl 4 mo. And she is growing like a weed. Looking forward to channel today.
Hi Joyce, she is growing like a weed. this is my favorite age for babies! Thank you for coming to watch my videos!
Have you moved yet??
not yet, very soon! Cant wait

I absolutely adore this channel! It's tremendously inspiring. I have several older pieces that need new life and this is giving me the inspiration and confidence to do so.
All such gorgeous transformations 💙🤍
I'm in love with the navy blue shelf table. I'd put casters on it and park it in my dining room as a bar cart!
That's a great idea
They all came out great!! What state are you moving to? I live on the east coast and live it!!!
Thank you Joanne, Texas
That 3 tiered table is an Occasional Table: Tables known as 'occasional' have no designated, defined, or specified use. But the other side of the coin is these tables can be used almost anywhere, and for almost any purpose. While not a dining table, a coffee table or a console table by definition, an occasional table can serve the functions of these tables. In this little table's case, a few well chosen books on the shelves might be a small touch of décor that can be quite elegant. Leaving the top to use however you want to personalize it.
Thank you Nancy for the wisdom!
Loved the Navy Blue collection ❣
Thank you Sharon!
I've been enjoying your videos so much. I LOVED your comment here about blue being a standard. Yay!!! Lol ( I had a design professor years ago who was so puzzled by my BLUE. It's a thing for me... I can move bits throughout and still have continuity! )
You are VERY talented!
Hello Desert DIY! Will there be an Ugly Duckling Challenge?
Hi! I just subscribed to your channel. I really enjoy the projects! Very inspiring!! In the past, I have been lucky buying used curtains at the thrifts stores when needing smallish pieces for upholstering.
So lovely. Thank you for the “bare bones” updates so that those without all the tools feel that they can do it too. As an aside, I appreciate the gentle background music. Too many videos with loud or obnoxious and distracting musical choices.
I recently found your channel and have been obsessed! I was really hoping to get something from you as I am in Az. I just heard that you are moving and I am so sad!! You do amazing work!!
These pieces all turned out beautifully! Two questions: 1. How did you attach the seats of the stools to the bases and 2. Does the paint you used on the lamps stay on metal well all by itself or did you pre-treat it with anything?
I don’t know if I missed it… but what is the name of that perfect gold spray paint. I would like to buy it too!!!
Love the benches. You have inspired me to try a couple upholstery repairs myself. Love how you just kept folding the material around the corner like a fan while stapling. Great job on all of them.
You can definitely do it!!!
Who was the female singer? Links only show some guy and none where the same song playing half way through the video?
When I reupholstered my chairs, I added a cardboard-like oak tag to the back to hide the unfinished ends.
Beautiful work. 😊
Thank you Rebecca
I love seeing your videos, everything is so beautiful, thank you!
Those benches really turned out great
Where do you get those special spray nozzles?
Who won the Ugly Duckling Challenge?
I love your channel. Did you move out of Arizona?
Hi Corie....most of the 10 things are BEAUTIFUL, especially the blue table and the gold frame with the fabric print. Not really a fan of the painted lamps though...maybe at a future time you could switch the parchment shades for some other ones. The ones currently being used seem to argue with the paint colour.
Thank you Heather. Lamp shades are always easy to change but a bit pricey these days
Sorry, I tend to pay attention to detail and I noticed that you did a bait and switch on the frame! You started with a plain, gorgeous wooden one and changed to a frilly, fancy one. Gurl, whatchoo trying to pull? BTW, I love your videos, I learn so much and you are so genuine. ❤
I don't remember all of the projects from this video but I know that we were all staying in one bedroom at my mom's when we had sold our az house so we had very limited space for me to work so I probably could not film every part doing more then 1 frame so I only showed what I could.
Hi Cory…was just thinking about you the other day…was wondering what you were up to. Good ☘️ luck ☘️ on your move. Loved the tray especially…but all the projects came out really nice 👍🏻👍🏻😊‼️
Thank you so much Helen

Wow what a warrior you are. Thank you for commenting Debra that means a lot. I will take your advice
I liked all the pieces. They coordinate so well with each other. They are going to look great in your new home. I believe you said previously that you are going with French Country? Just curious, if you are leaving the desert, will you change your channel name?
Thanks for the inspiration! I'm so glad that you show people that they can have the pieces they want without spending a fortune. 🙂👍
Thank you so much Holly. I will keep my channel name the same since that is where I am from. I am so excited to get decorating the new house
You've done a fantastic job in every area-the flip, the explanation, the music and the final result. One request...when you hold the product up, hold it for a few more seconds for those of us who want to absorb all the label info. Also, what state are you moving to and why? Wishing you well on your move.
Thank you for the tip! We moved to Texas for family and work opportunities
All of your projects turned out awesome. It's exciting to move, but a lot of work! I have relatives in Texas, and was concerned about the weather and grid failure. Solar was a problem, too.
Thank you Toni. We plan to save up for a generator in the future.
The stools were my Favorite...love all your ideas and also Getting me excited to see your new home come together Cory...when will Y'all be Making the Final Move...or are y'all already in new home🤗👍❣️
Thank you Debra! Very soon!
That table is called a 3 teired shelf
I love, love the putty color! Whatever you touch turns beautiful. Thank you for sharing even when you have such a busy life. I’d almost drive to Texas just to hug you!
Thank you so much Lydia
So glad to see your video. I was starting to have withdrawals. I so enjoy what you do and what you stand for and your values. Your projects are beautiful and you show us anyone can do them. Where are you moving?
Thank you so much for the high praises Stella. We are moving to texas
I love the mirror and tray the best. I love what you did with the lamps. I never think of painting lamps!! Next time I'm looking for a lamp I'll have to remember that!
Thank you Caroline. Lamps are such a fun project
I have to say, the lamps turned out great! I didn’t see their potential being shiny brass but now I see how I can transform them and easily! Thanks for the lesson!
Thank you Gail
That’s a good idea with the fabric in a frame,,,,I have a piece of fabric that just would look great as a picture
Thank you! I'd love to hear how yours turns out
Could you show how to paint fridge to make a country design in one of your shows. I would like to make my fridge into one of a kind. Thanks
If I ever get my hands on a fridge, I could do that. Thank you for watching
