I am feeling the Filter influences (especially Richard Patrick's vocals on Nick) on this song along with Korn's Life is Peachy and Deftones' Around The Fur aggresive take on this song. My only complain about Strangers Only is the lack of diversity on it and now you finally were able to fix it! Been waiting this album to come for over 2 years and i know it will be my favorite of the year. Still so shocked about your transition from a stereotypical metalcore/post-hardcore band to a natural and honest alternative metal one. I love you guys.
This band changes with every release and it's always so damn good. I didn't even know who they were when I saw them live but I will never forget that show, My Ticket Home is killer.
I started with this band on Strangers Only, I accidentally came across the stuff before that album and honestly laughed. But I grinned too. The progression you guys have made completely distanced you from the cookie cutter emocore shit. You took in influences and honed that to your own sound, and this is probably the most anticipated album this year for me. Keep doing what you do, and silence the haters. Strangers Only is epic, but life isn’t always about the fastball, the curve is just as effective. Heaviness isn’t measured by screaming vocals, it’s how you vibe to the music.
Damn you guys have come a long way. From that Katy perry cover to now the progress is real. You guys should be proud of the sound you have here hard hitting good music \m/
Got to meet Nick in Jacksonville after their set a few days ago, can't wait for the new album to drop and he seemed so proud of what they're about to release
[Verse 1] We wait Love is pouring out Calling your name In turn to fix Until you just die [Pre-Chorus] The killer beside me Has come to life (cut) I'm caught in the memory It's black and white (the killer) [Chorus] Now you can't forget about it Make mends to give up who cares dont wanna talk about it So you slam shut [Verse 2] We wait Blood is pouring down Caught in your veins Its hard to fix Until you just die [Pre-Chorus] The killer beside me Has come to life (cut) I'm caught in the memory It's black and white (the killer) [Chorus] Now you can't forget about it Make mends and give up Who cares dont wanna talk about it So you slam shut Slam shut [Pre-Chorus] The killer beside me Has come to life (cut) I'm caught in the memory It's black and white (the killer)
I loved 2 of the 4 new singles so far (this and Thrush), so I have no idea what to expect on this new album haha, but I'm still I'll dig it for the most part.
[Verse 1] We wait Love is pulling out Calling your name In turn to fix Until you just die [Pre-Chorus] The killer beside me Has come to life (cut) I'm cutting the memory It's black and white (now kill it) [Chorus] Now you can't forget about it Make me to give up But who cares to wanna talk about it So you slam shut [Verse 2] We wait Blood is pouring down Cut in your veins In turn to fix Until you just die
Definitely feeling the earlier (‘97) Deftones sound and the late 90s alternative/metal vibe. Haven’t listen to the whole album yet, but this track feels like it would be right at home on “Black Earth Tiger” by Emanuel, a very underrated album that few under the radar a little bit. “Phobos” is a great track from that album although it’s a faster tempo than this.
This is the only song on the new album that has that Strangers Only feel to it. I love the bands new sound and I'm happy they finally put out some new music regardless, but I'd be lying to myself if I didn't say that I wish there were more Strangers Only styled tracks. Gonna miss the heavy riffs and screams.
I feel like new bands maybe 5 to 10 years from now will sound different cause they will either be tired of all the same sounding music and/or feel so damn inspired by the bands trying something different
best song out of the three ive listened to so far, kinda disappointed tho regardless. Strangers only was one of the best cds ive ever heard, loved that change in direction, but so far, this change in direction is way too soft and 2000s butt rocky, not for me.
Spot on man, Strangers.... song after song just simply fucking ripped. Evolution is great, and this album is good but, literally nothing has the same energy as anything off of the previous album :-(
This transition back to nu-metal is a sluggish one. Objectively the material that this and other bands are producing is good. The nu-metal revolution is approaching. However, coming from some 90's nu-metal to this just makes it sound so weak. They're not even close to hitting as hard as their predeccesors yet. This generation is just too soft-hearted. They need to dig deep and conjure some deep, profound angst and channel it into their music, because as it stands this stuff just doesn't hold a candle.
I disagree I think this is perfect I think they Nu Metal bands are evolving look at Cane Hill look at these guys look at Fire From The Gods even Wage War Ofc you still have your old school Nu Metal sounding bands like DED (my personal favorite revival band) but idk this is just my opinion I think this is what Nu Metal needs is variety

This is pure unashamed Deftones worship, and I fucking love it.
I wanna hear more upcoming bands with this sound
It's calling Nu Metal.
Check out Islander, Darke Complex, Cane Hill, Sylar, Ocean Grove, DED, AEGES, Hundred Suns, Nine Shrines, Vespera, The One Hundred
sorry but DED is a shit
_PyroD _ Thx fam. glad i can help 😘
ReprogrammedToHate in ur opinion what is the best new nu metal band? cause i jus wanna listen to one! but they have to be heavy too
Kinda missed Nick's screams on previously released songs off unReal, but now I'm happy to hear them. Album's gonna be sick.
It's good to see that there's still good music around even if it's not mainstream.
So far this album is fucking sick! I love it

Is it that hard to say NÜ Metal?
@@GREG_Khar-NÜ-Metalhead2000 to me this sounds pre-1994 Korn Debut. So, no haha
God I'm so fucking stoked for this album. I've missed MTH.
This band changes with every release and it's always so damn good. I didn't even know who they were when I saw them live but I will never forget that show, My Ticket Home is killer.
dammit the world needs more music like this!

Colten this is probably the most profound comment ever. Completely relatable.
I second that. Couldn't have said it better myself 👏
That's the stuff!
Damn you guys have come a long way. From that Katy perry cover to now the progress is real. You guys should be proud of the sound you have here hard hitting good music \m/
My Ticket to '90s early '00
I'm getting a very deftone-ish vibe from this and I dig it
It's good to hear "the last song in the set" that nearly got me killed. That was a killer show. Hope to see y'all again.
Really mixed sounds between the 3 songs releases so far. I like the diversity. Good job guys! 🖤
I'm in love with this song 😍
That intro has a very Mudvayne LD50 vibe to it. Nice.
Now I'm In Love With This Song Forever.
SO BEAUTIFUL
What an underrated band maaaan.

CCM_Hockey71 Yess it's so good
This sounds like Strangers Only got through puberty.
The only thing I miss is Morello's influences on the guitar.
Has some hints from the hunter album by mastodon.
Great song.
Nü-Metal revival is happening
Psychedoutmike Bro it started happening back in like 2013
listen to their last album lol
This nu metal /grunge. It’s really well crafted to
No it's not, rock is dead unfortunately and will always be because no one has a personality anymore. Everyone is now driven by ego not character.
Emilion Clark You are delusional. Ego builds character. You clearly haven't realized that yet. Still naive to this world we live in, perhaps.
You guys and Cane Hill, with Korn or Deftones. Right now.
Colten don't forget DED
heeeelll yeah
Jesus! I'm shitting my pants
[Verse 1]
We wait
Love is pulling out
Calling your name

Why does everyone talk about Strangers only and not of To Create a Cure?
Holy nut
Does anyone know what album this is off (I'm a new fan)

Someone over in WWE needs to use this as their entrance theme.
If CM Punk ever made a comeback, this would be an incredibly fitting entrance song.
Very nirvana
plusieur personne dise que ca resemble a du nirvana.moi je trouve pas, juste un vague son des anners 90,ses du nu metal 2000.
