Timing for the video was perfect. After researching a long time, our first full auto espresso machine arrived minutes before this video was posted. I was searching some info for setting up our beautiful Accademia and saw that you posted at the same time. Whole Latte Love must have known I needed help with set up. Thank you! Very helpful.
Thank you for the great video! I just received my new Gaggia Accademia days ago and all is working perfectly so far. I am still trying to get my espresso tasting the way I want it as it still seems a little bitter. Prior I was using a Gaggia Brera. My Accademia settings are as follows for my lattes and cappuccinos: * Pre brewing set to maximum * Grind size set to the finest setting * Flow control set to largest dot * Coffee amount maximum * Coffee temp two bars * Coffee length a little less than the med point * Using Orphea Maromas Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. I have watched several videos and have not found my answer. :) Thank you!
Hi s, You are welcome. There are a number of settings you can change to reduce bitterness. Easiest with most immediate results is adjusting the flow control to a smaller dot. That will increase the flow rate through the coffee. You can also adjust to a coarser grind size - that'll take a few cups to fully realize the flavor change. Can also reduce strength. As you make changes try one at a time. Hope that helps!
