Thanks again for posting this. I'm likely going to get this bluetooth PTT button. Question - Why not just Velcro it on the throttle handle or on the index finger of your other hand? (Instead of having to reach over to you helmet?)
I like your set up. I want to have a ptt too and I found this one from IAsus Concepts. It has a button that goes to your finger. What do you think about this? Have you heard of this?
Andrew, are you having problems with the button showing "disconnected" when you open the app after being closed? I can't seem to figure out the exact sequence to get it to reconnect other than to uninstall the PTT button from zello, cycle the bluetooth on and off, and then add the button again from zello and assign it to a channel. If I walk away from my helmet some distance, then it disconnects again and I have to repeat the process. I have a moto G7 android phone and the Pryme BLU PTT mini.
Gonna try this out for endurance car racing, can't wait to try this out.

What headset is that? I'm assuming it is bluetooth capable?
does your phone need to be unlocked with app open for it to work or could you just open the app and lock your phone? - for iphone users.
Can you hear the audio on the intercom?

Does the app work reliably in the back ground? How about if the phone is being used for other apps…
If you're listening to music, does the Zello app take priority over the music when people are talking?
Yes, it will stop and resume the music on your cellphone, its pretty neat, you can even have multiple buttons talk on different channels separately
How to send messages screen off zello?
