PM Narendra Modi’s claims that the Congress wants to redistribute private wealth among those with “more children” and “infiltrators” have triggered a political war of words between the Opposition and the BJP.
Such references to Muslims have often found space in the Hindutva conspiracy theory of “population jihad” - one of many about how the country’s largest religious minority is unrelenting in its “planned campaign” to turn India into an Islamic state and seize its resources. And there has been little journalistic scrutiny to such claims, which aren’t just amplified by right-wing politicians but have increasingly found their way to mainstream news in recent years.
In their recent book, Love Jihad and Other Fictions, co-authors Sreenivasan Jain, Mariyam Alavi and Supriya Sharma had questioned several such theories.

Liked your comment. No matter how much data is provided the BJP just debunk it as Fake. Think Owaisi gave a very pertinent comment on Muslim families by saying Modi has 6 siblings and Amit Shah too has six. Total 7 children per family and another name quoted had 7 = 8 children.

I've read your book. It's mind changing. However, I have a suggestion to improve the book's presentation. You could highlight the important points of the cases and data through bullets. It's kind of a summary or a quick catch of it.

This was an old data, that's why the govt didn't do census. If Hindutva is so important for the govt then why are they not talking about religious conversion, they should make laws so that they don't expand. The loudspeaker laws which exist from very long back has not been followed even now. Neither by churches, temples nor by mosques. In my village Dhupi, Mali has been gone for India , from my father in law’s village 3 brother from dev family went to India, from my moms village 5/7 family were gone to India who were good friends of my moms family only 2 family from them are remaining in Bangladesh. They sold their property to the Muslims and left ,the whole village were full of Bhrammons but they chose to lived in India.

No Hate or whatever BUT a population with 33% Muslim after 20-30 years- The basic picture of India will change. Not only it will reflect on votes but in streets. No need of Muslim overtaking Hindus. I don't want in India what's happening in London, where they hold the State on ransom.
I don't think imposing something on them will work, specially when extremism is quite acceptable. I wish some Raja Rammohan, Vidyasagar of Muslim avatar, some from their own communiy were there in India.
Personal experience with Muslims-
1. In a protest site againts NRC(2019)- Kolkata- I have myself heard on public gathering on loudspeaker by a muslim speaker- "All good things like Taj mahal, in India were built by Muslim, Hindus only know gobar". I couldn't shout and counter(i was alone) about Ajanta, Ellora, Vijaynagar, south Indian stuff etc all that before Muslim rule and even Taj Mahal was not built from personal income but from taxes of majorly Hindu populace. ( if islamophoba is there, so is Hinduphobia)
2. A Known person who repairs AC in homes, directly faced a question- WHy was he alloted to a muslim houshold, he being a Hindu. (This thing happens for a Muslim too, I know. So, no one has angles by their sides)
3. Heard Muslim men in group adda reminised about their good old days of ancestors, who were the rulers of this land. Where their position has come to now (This happened Not in Urban tier 1 city, but in tier 3 town). ( why should I not think of
4. Enter a Muslim dominated area in Rural India, Not in urban cities( i have seen in Bengal) - You will feel you are in different world all together. (Do Muslim feel the same in Hindu areas? Maybe.)
5. Muslim Kolkata Mayor- Kolkata will speak in urdu someday. ( Forgetting a country was created to sake of language(bengali)). I love urdu words, but what is this?
BJP is using bad words, their ways are incorrect, others ways could have been used. But they have certains points. And it matters. Its not Muslim fault that till now Hindus were not that vocal or proud of their own identity or culture. Hindus played down themselves to accomodate others to the limit they themsleves had lost their roots. I m no supporter of likes of J sai Deepak. I wish there was a third front in election.
