Had a lot of fun with the console version, a solid follow-up to the movie and I consider it Over the Hedge 2 in my book.

Do you know which version of the Over The Hedge game is better? The GameCube, PS2, Xbox, or PC versions?

"A wise raccoon once said that none of us can truly appreciate life until we try extra hard to lose it!
I'd tell you what happened to him, but it's a sad story... Anyway--"
That line never fails to make me chuckle.

I’m glad the movie didn’t get a sequel. I have a feeling a sequel wouldn’t be able to capture the magic of the first movie. I also have the feeling that most of the main cast would be SEVERELY underutilized in a sequel

Over The Hedge for the console is one of my favorites as a kid and basically one of the first beat em ups I've ever played.

The Holy Trinity of Dreamworks games (all console versions) to me are: Shrek 2, Madagascar, and Over the Hedge

I liked Over The Hedge growing up and still surprised that the X-Men movies had the Quicksilver scenes inspired by the ending scene with Hammy and the energy drink

I wonder if Quicksilver was secretly Hammy, but as a Mutant.

Rembered this movie, so it was nice to know someone is still talking about the extra stuff about it.

I have to say, my sibling has been sending me links to your videos. It's helped me get nostalgic and recall games we played together as kids. I know there's likely a small market of people who care about these throw back games, but to know there are some people who feel a sense of solace recalling and replaying these games is genuinely awesome. Can't wait to watch more. 👍

I played the PS2 version of Over the Hedge so much as a kid I could remember enemy spawn points. I memorised voice lines. Did secrets.

Oh my goodness I'm so glad someone finally talked about the over the hedge ps2/GameCube game! I played it so many times when I was younger and LOVED it! Seriously it's such an underrated jem of a game especially due to the fact it's a licensed game and not most of those games are just...okay, but I have loved only two movies in my life, inside out by Disney, and over the hedge. Knowing there's more over the hedge stuff makes me happy thanks for making this vid 💖.

If we ever do get a sequel, we already know that DreamWorks will still have to recast RJ, Verne and Ozzie with new actors.

I haven't played the PC game in awhile, though I remember this game being pretty fun, especially when I played it with my cousins and my brother. For the PSP game, I tried to play this game on an emulator but at on part of the first level the screen froze but I still could move though but it was unplayable regardless.

The word 'remake' basically means a completely new game based on an older game, usually a classic. But there are variations on how this is defined.
    Rebuilding using modern technology
Videogame remakes in the classic sense could almost be viewed as a process of painting by numbers. Many of these projects will simply take the original game's mechanic loops and ideas, and rebuild them using modern technology, with better controls and often new assets, with the result usually being an experience you’re familiar with - but much more polished.
Great examples of this type of remake are the likes of the Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, MediEvil and Shadow of the Colossus remakes, which in their new guise are visual recreations that bear an uncanny resemblance to their original retro counterparts but aren't exactly the same game. See also the Wii U's Zelda: Wind Waker remake, which has a slightly different art style, and adds the option for faster sailing around its seas.
    Same idea, different execution
Now, though, we're starting to see total remakes that are more than just a better version of the original. They're essentially different games, even if they use the same story, setting, music, art style or gameplay ideas.
We might not have our hands on it just yet, but the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake is looking to be a prime example of this, ditching the traditional turn-based shenanigans of the original and instead using the mechanics of modern Final Fantasy titles. Regardless of Final Fantasy VII’s complete overhaul, Cloud will hopefully still slip into that cute purple dress like he’s supposed to.
Resident Evil 2's 2019 remake, too, is designed to mirror the original as much as possible, but instead of the 1998 version's fixed camera angles, it's a more modern over-the-shoulder third-person shooter. This approach shows how you can give people a comfortable dose of nostalgia while still making a best-in-class game for today's players. No wonder Resident Evil 3 is getting the same treatment.
