- The Main Street Electrical Parade's run at Disneyland has come to an end, and you can no longer hear the music in person. But do not worry, here is the soundtrack from the parade, and this is the closest version you will hear that sounds exactly like what you'd hear at any Disney Park! And there is still the possibility of it returning in the future!

I never noticed how much I love this parade until it left. I hope the people at Disneyland got to enjoy it as much as I did at Magic Kingdom. And I hope this parade can shine once again in the future.

Bmanlegoboy It's one of those things that has to come back at least once a decade, and hopefully more often. It's a classic for a very, very good reason, and I think has proven to be timeless.
I hope this does not sound gross or weird but the first time I heard the synthesized voice, I was all of 14 years old and it was almost orgasmic. From that point on, I decided to become a I.T. technician and built my first PC when I got home a few days later. This was in 1982. I saw Tron in the movie theatre and it enhanced my love of computers. I built my first PC a few weeks after that and it worked the first time after I installed Windows 98! Now I am head of my I.T. department at my current job and have NEVER looked back. That parade and Tron movie influenced my life in a positive way and I will never forget that.
Excellent my friend....you did a great job preserving the feeling and emotion.
I am sad it is over...will be at Disneyland in October, and will miss it very much.

Bmanlegoboy I understand that, I am saying that they have never posted it digitally and I have been wanting to make it my ringtone for years now.
The vocoded voice at the beginning is my favourite thing about it.
That voice was actually from the original version of Mainstreet Electrical Parade. Its Jack Wagner's voice vocoded. Jack, incase you weren't aware, was the "Voice of Disneyland" from the 50 throughout the 90s. He recorded safety schpeals for the park. One recognizable one was from Matterhorn where he said "Remain seated please; permanecer sentados por favor"
Walt Magicland did an excellent job of recording from source...yah!!!!

BREAKING NEWS: As of right now MSEP is being moved into storage so my thoughts for the future are that it will stay in storage for a while then when the Christmas season starts MSEP will return to Disneyland for a short run during the Christmas season (like they did with PTN) then after Christmas MSEP will return to storage so it can prepare for a return journey to Walt Disney World in Florida then start it's run at florida sometime in 2018, if it does go back to Disneyland over Christmas we should hear the announcement sometime between now and mid October the latest if it doesn't return to Disneyland over Christmas then we will hear the announcement sometime between now and late January the latest

This is my callout post to Disney. If you ever need to redo this song again let me know. Or someone who actually enjoys making synth patches.Whoever was in charge of synth programming really dropped the ball. It honestly sounds like they used a bunch of presets from various soft synths. Part of the joy of the original version is that each individual sound feels like it was brought to life through a labor of love. Most of these sounds can be made more spacious and closer to the original simply by detuning the oscillators a bit more or spacing them out by an octave. If they didn't even bother doing that, it seems safe to say that not a lot of programming was done on this track.
