I hate you bastards, I'm Mexican from socal and sure I got the sunny weather and the loose women but you SOBs have all the fun. and while I admits most things in new york are over rated the hotdog scene and pizzarias are NOT!!! YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!! and I plan my visits based on my cravings.

If it's a hot dog, I like chili with extra onions (may not be to your liking) and mustard.

I remember rolling skating from the East Village to this spot during the 80s..Order 4 dogs and chill in Needle Park...They were only 2 for a buck back then...😋
That's awesome! I remember buying pizza next door for $0.75 a slice with a coke in the 90's.
That was the "recession special" Now it's like $7.50
@John Conway...7.50?..That's the problem with getting old, and you remember cheaper prices.. I cannot imagine paying that amount for two dogs and a drink... I'd need to spend 20 bucks to feel satisfied...

I have been here a hundred times since the mid-1970's and love this spot and another one on Broadway. My favorite dogs, better than the Chicago Dogs (with Vienna Beef) that I am now dining on in Fort Lauderdale. Miss the Papaya too. Enjoy, 8.5 is probably a fair opinion.
I’m not sure if Grays is better than Chicago dogs. I’ve eaten at Grays recently and it’s definitely good. However Wrigleyville Dogs near Wrigley Field in Chicago is excellent to the point that it might beat Grays

You got to have the Papaya Drink , I remember one place 20 yes ago had a papaya, pineapple combination that was out of sight!
I do onions and mustard and the other mustard and ketchup and kraut.....I know ketchup.buttt that's the way I like it ah hah ah hah!

Are they the Sabrett Onions in Sauce? Or is it Chili onions? My go to spot is Boulevard Drinks in Jersey City. Love their Chili onion hot dogs and chili with cheese

Hi from the UK Guys. I have a question - is the sauerkraut on New York hotdogs served Hot, Warm or Cold ? We don't put it on Hot dogs over here so i'm interested to try it but want to do it right ! Thanks, Chris.
Warm! Only cold items are the mustard or ketchup. Onions and Sauerkraut are warmed up.

My fave is to mix the pina colada and the papaya, it’s a perfect match with the dogs.
I dont really like the chard dog , to me when its chard it gets real crazy salty , for me i love thrm boiled with hot mustard red onions tabadco sauce and sour krout how ever thats spelled lol

Everyone has their own preference. In other videos I try raw onions, with ketchup, chili dog, etc.
You have to grow up someday.
