I always wash mine in the dishwasher using permanent vinyl and I have no issues with peeling. I have some as old as 3 years.

Thanks for the comparison. I thought that projects like this sealed or not should not go in the dishwasher, that they should be hand washed.

Its best to hand wash but as both products used to seal claim to make projects dishwasher safe we had to try them :)
