I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.
@@AlilatTiamiyu The crazy part is that those advisors are probably outperforming the market and raising good returns but some are charging fees over fees that drain your portfolio. Is this the case with yours too?
New launches are not only repeatedly hitting new highs, but each configuration of condo be it 2BR, 3BR, 4BR, 5BR are getting smaller and smaller. This means the layout overall is getting poorer and poorer = high price for small unit. Who will want to buy the condo at an even higher price in future? I think people should not be deluded the dream of a exit strategy for such condos. We all know that majority of condo buyers are HDB upgraders. The usual HDB upgrader is a family who wants a place that can also house their children and helper etc. If one has a 4rm HDB of 990 sq ft, it makes little sense for them to look for one which is much smaller - say 850 sq ft for a 3BR condo. Doesn't make sense at all, as definitely the new condo property will not house the family better than the previous HDB. Even if say you buy for investment/rental yield/capital appreciation. The high quantum that you are paying for a small unit makes it extremely financially risky for such a financial move.
Amazing journey and portfolio for this realtor. I like his critical thinking when confronted with the option of following the herd or going his own way. I have this same thought as well when it comes to real estate where the risk-reward ratio doesn't make sense already. Thanks Josh for sharing. Kenny from Malaysia
Just today I was looking at the volume of properties put up for sale in PropertyGuru. There's 9,000 plus listing in district 9,10,11; constituting 20% of all listings in Singapore. I feel there's over supply in Orchard, Bukit Timah area at the moment.
There are many are fake listings on guru. Prob 1/3 are fake. Assuming 6000 genuine listings and Singapore has 28 listings, so there are about 215 listing for each listings and I guess that is healthy.
I genuinely try to watch your videos and would love to learn more about investments and making my money grow, BUT with every episode I realise that I’m just not someone who thinks about money all the time. Singaporeans have an obsession with money, and some are very good at managing that obsession. Kudos to you and them. Life, for me, has other priorities than to walk around thinking about money all the time.
I only know buy financial equities to manage the volatility and stress of investing. Currently my equity is 80% of all my assets and with good dividend income . I live a liberated life anywhere I want in Asia but not being too frugal because I like to live a good nice life .

Hi I build it as a highly valuable consulting work. Each week I can take on 1 or 2 cases only with the attention to detail needed. It commands a good premium =)
Make that 460k work harder. Or else inflation at 3-5% per year n compounded over a decade that money purchasing power becomes smaller not BIGGER。 so logically look for investment that fetches 5% or more per annum to protect purchasing power of 460K.
I told my wife to sell her Palantir share at $8 after knowing it support US Ukraine war software system. When it climbs to $75 now.. I still got scolded occasionally nowadays. Am I wrong?
If don’t intent to have kids, n hey lead a quite ‘frugal’ life, then nothing to talk about better his investments, because all these is already enough, (couple with future income), what’s the point of accumulating much more than he could spent. 😮
Happy at work then continue i guess. As shared, he picks his pace and clients more now It's not about focusing on spending money down once there is enough?
A lot of cash n never spend, like my dad save too much money before he passed away. Money in the bank while you are in heaven 😂😂😂. No meaning. These are the people who like to see numbers increase in the bank accounts.

Instead of buying so many endowment plans, does it make sense to top up SA to get 4% per annum?
The endowments were planned to pay out before age55
@@joshconsultancyWould such endowment plans with payout before 55yo makes sense for someone 30-40yo? Otherwise, are the alternatives?

Wait for another 20 yrs more and they may or may not regret having no kids... There s a price for everything.

Travel cost there is still a budget no worries

Why does his endowment plan only till 60?
This is why I am vested in PropNex. Let the agents hustle and earn for me as people keep flipping their properties.😁
i view propnexs financial prospects good now too
