What a journey my friend, I am so happy for you ! Thanks for sharing your video ... if you are ever back in Orlando let me know, we can take a 182 up ...lol
I wished I would have known what I wanted to do at a younger age. I was in civil air patrol, the way they ran things there wasn't up to par I graduated high-school went to different colleges led dropping out because I was still confused on what I wanted to do so became a pipe welder and fitter it's good pay, but it's OK work now 33 years old married about to have my 2nd kid I'm trying to figure out how to fulfill my dream I would have to quit work I have to think of my family instead of myself because anything can happen which could screw your whole family
Going to Myrtle Beach (KMYR)....that was my old stomping grounds. Spent 6 years in the 80's stationed at the old Air Force Base on the other side of the runway from the Jetport.
Nice dude! There's a page in the Far/aim called "suggested study list" where it tells you which chapters to look at for the specific rating you're going for. I wish you well in your future in aviation!
When hired at Delta did they give you a choice of base or did they tell you which base you'd be working? Also the same question regarding the airplane. Did you choose the crj 700/900 or did they tell you, you'd be flying that airplane?
Base and Aircraft are assigned by the company when in the new-hire class. At least in the regionals. In Delta mainline, you put in what you want, and depending on the demand and spots available, you get assigned by the company, but the company ultimately decides where you go and what you fly. Once you gain more seniority, you can change it.
hey brother, what was your personal path to becoming a commercial pilot? i haven't started yet, and i'd be starting late.. but it's kind of my next big goal.
Hey! It was a very weird path for me. I started training when I graduated HS. But could only fly about 1 to 2 times a week. Took me a year to get my PPL, another year and a half for Instruement. Then I went to College for Aerospace engineering, midway thru that realized I hated it. Still finished tho. Spent my last two semester at college and getting my Commerical plus flying skydivers. Got selected at L3Harris in FL for their Instructor sponsored training. Got that done, Covid happened, Got let go. Found a place that managed people's Cirrus Planes and Meridians (that's where my TH-cam channel starts) and then got hired at the regionals when I got the hours. Overall a ver long 10 years which could have been done in 3 or 4 years.
My son is 1st off at Endeavor. He flies the crj900. Great job. I’m very proud of him.
One best part that you are not with other pilots in a Crash Pad right now!! Keep this up and your goals will come up faster than you think.
I am very lucky with having family who live on base!
Delta Connection is a great start to getting on with the Majors so get all the Jet hours you can in the CRJs
I'm very happy here! The people are great and the CRJ aircraft is a great one!
Amazing video. Very inspirational and interesting for us aspiring aviators. Hopefully, you will be able to post more in the future.
Thank you. I was wondering if this would be a good one or not. I'm glad you commented
Look forward to flying with you

Thank you my dude! I gotta get my butt over there again. Been forever since I've been I'm a good ol' Cesena!
@@FlyByGarrett your always invited sir
Great video. would be interesting if you could include times. time you leave hotel, time of first flight, time you get done for day etc.
I appreciate the pointer. I'll keep track of times for my next one!
Thts would be very cool! Im soon to be a regional pilot and I appreciate this video!
I just started my aviation journey with only 5 hours under my belt. I can not wait to fly for an Airline or the military; see you in the cockpit soon!
Remember to keep showing up after a bad lesson! A lot of people give up after that. Power through it. Enjoy every step of the process!
Thanks man, my last couple lessons have been pretty bad, I needed that encouragement!!
Go air national guard. You will live the best of both worlds. Trust me, that’s how I did it.
I have been thinking about that for a long time now I think I’m going to do that.

Glad you didn’t end up on the 200 at Endeavor.
why?
I wouldn't have minded it. Not gonna lie. Some of the best captains I fly with were first on the 200
Going to Myrtle Beach (KMYR)....that was my old stomping grounds. Spent 6 years in the 80's stationed at the old Air Force Base on the other side of the runway from the Jetport.
I’m looking forward to seeing more
I gotta do better about documenting my trips now. My TH-cam community us always in my mind!
Really enjoyed this video!
Thank you!
Great video!
Thanks! Working on some more :)
I thought I would watch the first 10 secs. Boy I was wrong. Amazing video! Captain you should moonlight as videographer.
You gave me the biggest smile today. Thank you. I will do my best to keep the quality of these videos on par!
Biggest take away here is how much sushi you can eat yeehaw
That's all this was. A facade to show how much I can eat 😆
I don't know why you're blurring the reg numbers and logos, it's extremely obvious who you work for. It's ok to post this stuff lol
Just in case :)
I do have captains who ask to do it so no situation can be associated to them if I accidentally post something I shouldn't have.
Great video and new sub! I’m hoping to fly commercial and just got the faa far aim would it be a could idea to start studying it. I’m currently 13.

@@FlyByGarrett Thanks!
Can you do more videos like this plase😊.
Working on one for the past few days :)
You guys finished all that sushi? 😅
I couldn't finish two rolls 😅
Worked on 925 last night in CWA
Hopefully not something I personally broke! 😆
@@FlyByGarrett You flew on it 8 months ago, doubt it.

Wow! how many flights? 3 then 1 DHD then the 5 leg LGA to PIT? seems like a lot. How long was that duty?
Honestly I don't remember how long the duty was. Hahaha. But I do remember it had its long days. We were probably coming up on that limit

@@FlyByGarrett I am in the same boat as you where Im in college but tryna be a pilot, how were you able to mitigate much of the cost?
I have a ton of time in 923xj
Does every new pilot goes to endeavor air
how are you a regional pilot yet you fly with a major airline i.e. Delta
Regional airlines mostly fly for majors
