Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to secure his family's financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in the world. Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

I heard "qi si le" at one point, which literally means "angry to death," but would perhaps be better translated as "I'm so angry right now"
I am so excited that between the first time I watched this and this time, I learned enough Chinese to basically understand her. I am still here, where would I go, what are you guys doing, I have children, my husband is worried, etc.

@@benma1116 mikes first scene was originally planed to be a scene with saul but due to scheduling issues with odenkirk filming how I met your mother they created mike to fill the gap
So do you mean Bob was supposed to be Mike instead of Saul or was Bob as Saul supposed to perform acts in this scene?
The Original script had Saul going over to clean up the overdose of Jane but since Odenkirk couldn't be there to film the scene they wrote in the character of Mike who was just called the cleaner and was only going to appear for that one scene.@Lguy_99

Nah, his stealthiest kill is when he offed the cartel twin in the hospital with the entire Albuquerque DEA office standing right outside the room.
That’s probably the least believable thing in the whole series haha. Wouldn’t the hospital find out what his cause of death was? Don’t they have cameras?? But I guess Mike is just built different
@akorn9943 There are a lot of untraceable things you could inject into an IV line to kill someone. Air would be one (would take more than a syringe worth though). I do agree with the cameras and just the fact that no one noticed him enter or exit the room to begin with.

Double tap means two bullets to center mass ideally spaced 2-3 inches apart. That didn’t happen here.

You know it always confused me in that scene where he throws the woman’s shoe down the hallway and that guy came running out to kill Mike because I didn’t understand why he just randomly ran down the hallway and then I realized why. The dude who ran down the hallway probably thought it was a grenade/flashbang so charging Mike was his only choice. Unfortunately it was a dupe. Well done Mike.

The balloons causing the blackout cracks me up every time because that exact thing has happened at my work 3 times
The funny thing is the wires the balloons hit were hit were insulated low voltage power lines. The bare high voltage line was the top one and the balloons never hit that one. I am sure they rigged the lines with small charges to go off and it was not a real short circuit. Also the chance of the balloons hitting the lines like that is pretty low and near impossible if there was any wind at all. They could have used fishing line or something invisible to keep the balloons from drifting away from the lines. This was a great scene though. Mike was so resourceful.

In an alternative timeline, I would've loved to see Mike and Lalo go at it one on one.
As much as I ADORE Mike, Lalo's too quick. Plus he's just as smart as Mike. Maybe even smarter. Mike only wins with prep time.

One thing more sadder than mike dying is that he lost the balloons :( however tho, the fact he just used 8 rounds for an entire compound is crazy.

I like the first shot. Cool overpen while the two mooks are stacked on the stairs.
Very deliberate scene to show how cold-blooded and calculating Mike is. He hears the mooks' voices, gauges where they're standing, and dips around the corner. Shoots once.
The unfortunate part is he's using a .45 with subsonic rounds that don't penetrate well. Most but not all .45 ACP rounds are subsonic but we know his are for sure since there is no supersonic crack which will happen regardless of having a suppressor if the bullet goes past the speed of sound. As a gun and ballistics enthusiast honestly ruins the scene for me. If he was using hollow points (which he should be) its extremely unlikely it'd go through the first guy with the power necessary to kill the second. While its not impossible is absolutely not a tactic you could rely on or would even try. If he's using ball ammunition which actually will more than very infrequently penetrate all the way through someone with significant remaining power to wound or even kill he's using the wrong ammo because its cheap, not nearly as reliable and has very low 1 shot lethality even in .45.
