  • Make a shiny, elegant "magic potion" bottle the easiest way using polymer clay! To create one of these intricate looking bottles you only need: a clean glass bottle (I used a colored glass sparkling water bottle, very common indeed), one and a half pack of black polymer clay, metallic mica powders, and a glass cabochon (optional).
To texture the polymer clay you can improvise with little objects that can be stamped on the clay like buttons, gears, or any little thing that you may have. A mold or texture sheet can be useful but certainly not necessary.
So, why throw away perfectly good bottles when, instead, you can transform them so beautifully? I thought of this, and made two of them as a decoration for a shelf, or mantelpiece. My cat approves!
    Enjoy!

Why throw away perfectly good glass bottles? Transform them into magic with Polymer clay veeeeery easily and.. why not make a pair of them for super decoration? As I said in the description my cat also approves! Enjoy!

I cannot wait to try this! Quick question will the glass be ok in tbe oven? I'm worried it will shatter

It didn't shatter in 120 C, but again I can say it wont, if the glass is thin. Let's hope it doesn't.😺

what do you mean by bake it? in the oven? does that set or cure the clay? thanks!!

It bakes (cures) the clay so it stays in place and in shape. And even if it detaches from the glass, it still holds the shape and it can be glued back on.

The glass will not get break during baking? I'm thinking about making a small perfume bottle Luke this but i'm afraid that it will not survive xd

The ones I use are of rather thick glass, and the temperature for baking polymer clay is not very high. I think it is better to put the pieces in a cool oven, so the heat will rise gradually. Also to let them cool slowly inside the oven after baking. Generally I don't think they ll break. I am sure you will do great!
