Hi I work for Turkish airlines, Yes the meal is Halal because the meals are not catered from London heathrow. All meals are catered for that sector from the inbound flight. The catering company in istanbul is Do&Co too hence why it might look similar to the BA flight. Turkish airlines food is not catered from London
So why was the sticker BA WT? What does that mean? That means British Airways World Traveller? Why did the meal look so different from usual TK meals? This is not Turkish Do&Co (which is halal) in fact this meal was made in London by British Do&Co
@FLYERLHR You DO realise that BA goes to Muslim countries, right? On those flights they have halal catering. Spreading false information about an airline just because there was a delay due to technical reasons-which was for your own safety- is not good, especially when you're so blatantly wrong.
@AngelofDarkness2214 actually BA doesn’t have halal catering for those flights - they just don’t serve halal foods. Don’t come here thinking that you’re right because the fact that TK have now come forward and have agreed that the meal service was not halal… you’re simply shooting yourself in the foot here and digging yourself into a deeper hole
The meal here is a standard British Airways meal - the chicken has not been slaughtered in an Islamic way making it a non-halal meal. This is a breakfast that is served on British Airways economy long haul flights
Okay I didn't know that and it is important issue. But you should be sure about it and show a real evidence. However they shouldn't feel you uncomfortable about halal food. This is the main point you're right.
@ I have shown enough evidence with the “BA WT” sticker on the meal - I have flown BA in the past with their Halal meals being labelled “MOML”. This was a standard non-halal meal
❤ TK
I went with a Boeing 787 and returned with an Airbus 350 Turkish Airlines.

Turkey has good pilots
That is unacceptable i mean huge part of the turkish airlines community is choosing them due to their belief
Bu havalarda ucmamak gerekir
Bummer!
I hope you claimed your money

Thanks for the information
Why would it be halal? The Republic of Türkiye is a secular country, not an Islamic Republic.
Because every TK meal is Halal! - check their website out which states every meal is cooked according to Islamic Law
It is islamic laik diye boş yapmayın hiç bir zaman laik olmayacak o senin ataputun da öldü gitti
Please let’s not cause an argument here! Let’s stay civil
Which it had, a very strong Ottoman Islamic history... Even tho The Turkish Republic, maybe secular. It does have a majority Muslim population!
