I found your videos around 11 years ago when I first started getting into photography. I learned so much from those videos and I must say I watched all of them multiple times. I somehow got disconnected from your channel as time went on and my photography interest decreased. Now I am getting back into the hobby and found your channel has changed from the more beginner videos and I love the photo biker series! One day I hope to visit your country and explore with camera in hand. Thanks for being awesome. Love this channel and I always recommend it to new photographers. One of the best instructors on youtube.
Thank you so much Andrew. It's great to welcome you back. Hope you get over here one day. If you ride too, maybe you could come on a photo biker workshop with me? Should be easy enough to rent a bike. Please ping me a message via the contact page of my site if so, We'll keep you up dated... ... MIKE🙏😊 www.photographycourses.biz/contact
Ive enjoyed seeing you change things up over the years. Youve become the motorcycle photographer over the last few months and its interesting not only the journey getting where you are going.BUT the process of finding the right picture once you're there. AND at the end, you get the pool of light ;) Good one Mike
Another very enjoyable vid Mike. I agree clouds add interest but as an ex-Pom in Australia I have come to love blue skies, just gotta learn to love 'em and use them to advantage. Great series, thanks for posting.
Thanks Trevor. Exactly, love what we have not weep over what we don't. Though I have to say when you get a storm the clouds down under are incredible. West of Cape York in the Gulf of Carpentaria you get the Morning Glory cloud formations, which I'd love to see. Yeah, I know, that's not an every day thing... MIKE🙏😊
Another great video and one of my favourite places. Later in the year you get amazing cloud inversions around Corfe, if you lucky enough to go on one of these days you'll see Corfe at it's best. Thanks for sharing so much amazing free content
Hi mike its been awhile since I've seen your videos .I lost all my links so I'm glad I found you again.I've been with you at least 5 years when .I starred watching you .Glad your still uploading
@@MikeBrowne Not sure I am the Mossy you think I am as I have never met you. However one day I will attend one of your workshops, and buy you a pint, and then I will be another Mossy that you think I am ! 😊
Loving the photobiker concept Mike. It’s inspired me to drag the Z900 out of the garage in the spring and get out with my G9 and ride around Indiana (flat and dull on the face of it) looking for things to shoot. If I get zero photos it’s all good - I get seat time in.
I just come across this video, so had to watch, wow Mike, you've change your format, to your bike. I've not seen you for some time, I lost interest in photographer about 2.5 yrs ago. It was great to see you in action, after so much time. thanks for shearing. I still have my camera gear though.
Highly appreciate your efforts sir. Early morning time and climbing so much to get a better view and another angle of the castle, simply awesome. As always, nice photo biker series video. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Great video Mike. I admire your patience. When I follow you on my computer, I see myself leaning in my computer chair when you come to a turn. And driving on the other side of the road make this feeling more pronounced. I almost think that you are going to slip in a curve. Thank god I have armrests on my computer chair.😂😂
What a gorgeous area and lovely little village! Love going on these adventures to places that are new to you and provide a bit of mystery as you go along. You are braver than me for getting up for the early morning light :D
You're welcome diane. I had a 2 hour ride back from a big motorbike festival yesterday and found some besutiful back roads through stunning scenery where i've never been before. Cant wait to share it with you... ... MIKE🙏😊
Hello my friend! I really like these little Go-Pro bits when you're on the bike! Makes me feel like I'm actually riding with you! 😁😁 And that's incredible too.. Human habitation since 6000BC!! Wow!! Ok, this is getting silly now.. this is the third time I've edited this comment. 🤣🤣I really should watch the entire video and THEN comment. But the reason for this edit is because I have to disagree. I really don't think blue skies are boring! Why do ALL landscape photographers think like this? It annoys the heck out of me! 😂😂There. I've said my piece.. Thank you, and goodnight!
Another great video I have just been on a holiday and have been using the long lens for landscape , getting some great shots . Thanks for all your advise .Pete Western Australia
Hey thanks Peter. Happy to have helped. Say G'day to the good folks of Aus for me. I've spent quite a lot of time south of you around Bridgetown. Got a good friend lives in Collie... ... MIKE🙏😊
Nice video Mike, try the view from the station next time or the one across the graveyard. There are so many different views of the castle. Take care on that bike!
About 7:30 in..so im still watching..BUT a couple of these early shots might have been a candidate for some photoshopping the sky with another sky..We all love clear days but yeah sometimes the sky being so clear makes it less interesting for sure..
40 years ago there was a tourist attraction in Corfe with a model of the of the original castle. I lay on the ground and got both the model and the ruins in the same shot. Pretty cool photo.
Another top video Mike, love the bike. I take loads of motorbike images as our town is on the local loop for bikes. I usually email the riders some shots and I just got a proper bike shoot, paid, job out of it. A Benelli. Back to you, what a gorgeous village that was. The castle might look good at sunset too with the venus belt behind it, the castle would catch the last rays of sunlight. Sounds good in theory....Look forward to the next instalment.
Thanks Lisa. Glad you enjoy them. I've startd a Photo Biker page on Facebook which might interest you. Link below. Be great to see some of your images (Benelli shoot maybe?) ... MIKE🙏😊 facebook.com/mikebrownephotobiker
That is a great location for cofes castle, as the only image I found accessible was from the village castle car park next door to hurt her grave yard ! Where is that vantage point please because if I am ever passing I will up there for a quick snap ! ? Many thanks
I don't know the name of the hill but it's right opposite the castle next to the Kimmeridge / Lulworth road as you drive into Corfe from Wareham direction.... MIKE🙏😊
Thanks Keith. I do use a grad sometimes, but it's very rare. Although the sky was bright and could be brought down with an ND grad, I didn't like the emptiness of it. This was a research trip to figure out the location really. Now I know more about the place and how to approach it, I'll be watching weather forecasts for a warm sunny day, rain late evening or overnight followed by a chilly morning so vally fills with mist. A day of storms and sunshine would be good to.. Just got to get them to match my diary ... MIKE🤫😊🙏
Thanks @alstamaris photography. I only use a tripod if I need to (slow shutter, motion blur, night photography etc) and also because I can only carry one tripod on the bike - and that's holding the video camera ... MIKE🙏😊
Hi @Robert Speicher. Good idea, though I don't use it for a route, but spent an hour looking at the hills, layout of the town to get an idea of where you might get a good shot of the castle from... ... MIKE🙏😊
Hello Mike, when and why do you decide to go with f 7.1 or f11 or f8? seems a bit arbitrarily or is there a logic behind? (I am fully aware of depth of field, but the difference in these shots between f7.1 or f11 are not that bit aren't they?) and why a shutter speed of 1/500 with ISO 250 on a whide angle lens (I suppose around 24 mm or so) when you could have gone for ISO 100 and shutter of about 1/200 or so? any specific reason for that?
Hi @DonBroccoli. No specific reason for any of them. The settings in this situation aren't doing anything creative as in managing movement / depth of field. They're only making an exposure so the combination used is unimportant provided it makes the image as bright or dark as you want it to be. Please take a look at my Masterclass In Photography online course which will give you complete clarity about this and so much more. It has 100s of 5* Trustpilot reviews and I personally guarantee it with a 100% refund guarantee... MIKE🙏😊 www.photographycourses.biz/courses/online-photography-course
@@MikeBrowne Hi Mike, thanks for your reply. I think my initial question was not that clear: why would you chose f7.1 over f8? after all, f8 (beeing a full f-stop) would seem more natural to choose than 7.1 What in your head makes you choose f7.1 in that moment? They both have, as you state, the same creative or exposure effect.
