Not necessarily a trap. Just more strict requirements (and slower progress if you want to be safe) Kinda makes sense in that they want to make sure that you are less likely to blow an account with bigger money. (Up to 6M vs up to 1M for 300k vs 50k accounts) Just get a bunch of little profit trades and dip (even if it takes you more than a month or two to achieve) Build up cushion on funded THEN start holding trades to targets.
I agree with you 100% and just made a video about this as well! These props firms should only be used as a tool to duplicate your personal profits or to make money and fund a personal account.
Thank you for breaking everything down here. I'm a chart pattern lover so these ICT concepts are something very new I'm learning. Appreciate your detailed explanations.
Can’t thank you enough for the very valuable advice you are giving away. The MMXM still does not click for me, but I’ll train myself to read it on the charts. The choice of account size was an eye opener, these prop firms are not our friends indeed.
Just passed multiple Apex evals, 12 trades , 100% win rate, and now up on the funded, so I don’t agree with this video, I definitely plan to keep my accounts and milk as much money I can. I don’t want to redo these evals over and over again. Simple, learn to trade, and print.
@@funnyvideostiktok1608 After 2000 hours screen time, and years of failing, it’s simple as experience and screen time. Pure price action + elliot wave, that’s the secret sauce
One thing i wish you would’ve mentioned: the trailing DD eventually stops. You can scalp your way to the Trailing Drawdown +$100 then if you want to hold for longer trades, you can.
@@jukarera1635yes it does. So one way i like to do it is take your trailing drawdown and multiply it by 30%. So on a $50K account, thats 2,600 x .30 which is $780. Make MAX $780/day and you are good. If you have 20 accounts thats $15,600. More than people make in 4 months. All about perspective
@@jukarera1635 yes, but after your 4th consectutive month of payouts the 30% rule goes away and you can withdraw however much you want. bit annoying but atleast it goes away
Thanks for this - straight to the point on how these prop firms primarily make money. One minor correction though, is when you pass all their ridiculous rules and constraints and still able to sustain profit, they still make money off you by replicating your trades
Enjoy your content but you are wrong regarding the statement “they only make money if you fail”. Once you go live XFA they copy trade your XFA and profit from that. Finally once your XFA goes to pro live, they make money via their split. So they actually make money from both failing evals and profitable traders. Not just failing traders. :)
For example Topstep use professional live brokers for when you go from XFA to pro live. If you are making $1000 most days, that is $100 for them. Which massively trumps someone taking a week to blow an evaluation and pay a tiny $49. I know a lot of the guys at the bigger props. They absolutely love it when someone comes in and smashes it. That is why normally after 30 green days or roughly 15-20k profit, they move you live. One they can’t afford to just hammer fees out of an XFA, and they also want to make a 10% split on someone good. They win no matter what. Just feels wrong saying they only make money on failed traders.
This is very true. Prop firms don't just make money when you fail. They actually want consistent traders because they make a percentage of everything the traders make. I'm sure they also size up on those traders
Thank you for doing this for free Jesse. I wish that I could afford you to teach me 1 on 1 . But I'm going to use this information to better my life. God and you get all of the glory.
Thanks so much, Jesse @Casper SMC. Your educational content is a game-changer for me and my trading journey. One question - how do you combine multiple accounts on a prop firm? You've shown 20 APEX linked accounts. How is it done? Thanks brother!
It is done with "trade copier" software that is provided free from the prop firm (APEX). Once you get in you will learn how it all works. When I say free, I am talking about APEX and their Tradovate platform, but I don't recommend the TDV trade copier. With APEX you also get free access to NinjaTrader, and free data, and you can link all your APEX accounts in there too, like TDV, but NT has a much better trade copier. It will cost you around $150 though. I bought Flowbots trade copier for NT, because I heard it was the best and so far it works great. I actually got Flowbots Replikanto trade copier for $110 with a 30% coupon I found on YT, if you look for it.

Great video bro, in the 1st example you did the iFVG the next candle or candles did not return to trigger an entry but you mentioned this was a valid entry ? Also what is your experience on this MMM & entry model for the London open ? cheers
Hi, i love your videos, they are really helpful, i have a question, the 50k apex funded account is $187 per month or $33 as you mentioned in the video?
I trade only NY so intraday trading, I risk 5% of drawdown limit, and calculate the lot size accordinghly I take only 2 to 1 minimum set ups, to start if you proven to be more than 50% times correct, is a good base, not too risky I think, this is for long term, burning to evaluations, not sure yet but way more I think, may be 25% of the max drawdown
For Apex, the hard thing is to pass the evaluation for the current offer of $16 for each 250K account. But I think you forgot to mention that in APEX, after you have an active account the minimum profit required to make a payout is 2.6K for a 50K account and 6.6k for a 250K account. Considering the proportions, you just have to double your sizing, and it's still conformtable because you have the triple of drawdown and just trade for a bit longer. The activation of $85 fee for the 250K account it's a win compared to the cost of activation of the regular 50k account. And I realized it's not about the "size" of the account, it's about the drawdown. With 20 50K accounts, you actually have a 2500 (drawdown) x20 = 50000 balance.
So if a fvg inverts, you don't have to wait for it to come back and tap it in in order to take an entry? The candle closing below the fvg is itself the entry trigger?
I don’t understand what you mean 7:30 am open EST ? Are you saying like the open of the premarket ? I thought the market opens up at 9:30 am est ? I’m confused if you can please reply . TIA 🐐 🙏
What’s your opinion on top step and their “one time 149 fee”. I just purchased the 50k account with them but just seen your video now not sure what’s the best thing to do now.
I think since the drawdown limit is 2500, he only can risk 2-5% on each trade, so about $125 max, and so hes getting 2 or 3 reward to risk ratio of only a few hundred dollars. Thats why open 20 copy accounts, each making 300.
Generally, I found the video helpful. However, some of the concepts were covered too fast for me. I couldn't answer the question "What is a market maker model?" based on this video alone. The second concept was what to do with prop firm accounts. It sounded like you said get an account, get one payout, and then stop, but since you have 20 Apex accounts I am sure that is not what you were meant. I will watch the free ICT course.
@kblehero If you are in a market buy model and there has been a market structure shift that has returned to a fair value gap. You can use the 9:30 opening to find an entry below that time and enter for max profit. Use trading view 10min chart and indicator ICT daily levels and zones fadi and fluidtrades - SMC turn on zig zag. Take a look at the times and and when it pumps.

I think since the drawdown limit is 2500, he only can risk 2-5% on each trade, so about $125 max, and so hes getting 2 or 3 reward to risk ratio of only a few hundred dollars. Thats why open 20 copy accounts, each making 300.
Why a lifetime membership is a trap verses a $80/mth accont? Will I loose this account if I'm not careful?
On the opening price section, you say 7:30 am EST opening price, do you mean 9:30 EST or am I missing something?
i have the same question
Did you get an answer on this 7:30 opening price?
Generally, I found the video helpful. However, some of the concepts were covered too fast for me. I couldn't answer the question "What is a market maker model?" based on this video alone. The second concept was what to do with prop firm accounts. It sounded like you said get an account, get one payout, and then stop, but since you have 20 Apex accounts I am sure that is not what you were meant. I will watch the free ICT course.
🙏
AMAZING VIDEO YOU JUST DECODE THE DARK SIDE OF PROP FIRMS. AND BRO I AM UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD THAT PDF
Why do you prefer TGG? Do you only trade forex?
I always put “prop firm” in quotes when referring to these pay a fee to trade sim company’s
yah bro its all about managing the account the high timeframe account the low timeframe account thats why only one big account doesnt work
@caspersmc what's the significance of the 7:30 am opening price and where do i find more information about it
@kblehero If you are in a market buy model and there has been a market structure shift that has returned to a fair value gap. You can use the 9:30 opening to find an entry below that time and enter for max profit. Use trading view 10min chart and indicator ICT daily levels and zones fadi and fluidtrades - SMC turn on zig zag. Take a look at the times and and when it pumps.
7:30 open. Is that New York timezones?
You should try out Humble Funding, they allow up to 25 PA’s and you can request higher payouts, they also have the lowest profit targets ive seen
Is there any significance to the $40k profit target you mentioned between the 20 accounts? Or are you just giving an example?
