    Which app are you going to use to track your runs this year in 2021?

      Strava

      My bf told me to use Strava and I’m hooked 🤪

      Strava is better socially if you pay for it. NRC is definitely more natively integrated into iOS, which shouldn’t be a surprise

      Both. Lol. I use NRC during the runs and my garmin uploads to strava for me.

    I’m running for two months using both the apps. For some reason, Strava adds more meters, especially when you are running on a stadium.
    Today I did 7,35km on a field.
    NRC time: 37:04 and Strava time: 35:21
    That’s a big difference, I gotta say.

      That would be interesting to test more. I used Strava on some track work this entire month of November. Its been off by a 200 meters each mile. That can add up on the track. During distance on the streets is been so accurate for me.

    Automatic notification to friends, achievements, in-app music player.. So much useless functions in these apps nowadays. They should forget that garbage and focus on improving the essentials like accuracy, statistics and general usability.

    Is there a solution for running on a track, like perhaps an app that will lock you on to that track and record each lap correctly at 400m?

    • @Aesthetic_Al
      @Aesthetic_Al ปีที่แล้ว

      With watch OS 9 thats now available! not from these two apps tho. Im currently using a Garmin as daily watch and it has track mode where you enter what lane you're in. Hope this helps Tom

    Nike run club app shows different lap distance sometimes. For two days it showed 360m as one lap and today it showed 320m. Whats the problem?

    • @MGE0007
      @MGE0007 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe thats a GPS thing between the app and your phone. Some days the GPS signal is good (so distances are accurate) others days not so good..so you will never get exactly the same distance for the same course your run. Maybe monitor it over a number of days and look at the overall difference?

    • @Aesthetic_Al

      both will be similar as the apps feeds of the data thats give to them. (Wearable watch/Mobile smartphone)

      Thanks for sharing. You know also if you use the integrated workouts on an Apple Watch you can input your activity into strava if you wanted to later. I personally just like having it all on strava so I can compare the different activities.

      As Karl wrote It will depend on what you are using to record your runs. Mobile Phone or smart watch. If your current device feels inaccurate. You can back it up and reset if you feel something is off with the distance.

      what's your fav features on the NRC? if its the guided runs just so you know apple has Time to Run now which is similar. Some people prefer it. Just wanted to share in case you might not have known

      @@Aesthetic_Al I like how NRC is also completely free and doesn’t put features behind a subscription. I’ve also spent so much time using NRC, even when it started as Nike + iPod (I’ve been a member since 2009). I like NRC’s layout the best
