    This guy saved me some grief! His warning about hole saws and his punch advice (overdrill the pilot and don't over tighten the die) made my efforts a lot easier. Thanks!

    Too bad it doesn't come with a punch that would be 2.125 for creating holes for automotive after market gauges.. Like a volt gauge or fuel gauge..The closest size in this tool is 2.375 ..A little sloppy over size for the gauge and may be too big..
    That is all right..Not going to be buying it for the punches..Need it to use on the Lisle 17350 pipe flair tool for muffler fabrication

    Have you try any of the Chinese mig welder? I'm begining to weld and the Chinese welders under $500 claim to have everything to get started. I don't know if they will last.

      I thought about them, but if I were gonna buy them for 5 hundred bucks, I'd rather save a little more and get a Lincoln mig pro 180. The machine is a solid unit. That's what I use to weld my projects. Chinese electronics are shady in quality.

      I used a harbor freight step drill bit. I forgot what size.

    • @connorfoley2120
      @connorfoley2120 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@theotherguy3083 7/8 inch (the step drill you probably used) for standard dies, but if you upsize your dies to punch holes for trade size 2 1/2, 3, 3 1/2, or 4 inch, you need a larger draw stud. That size takes an inch and 3/8 hole, which is the largest diameter of the larger size step drill you can get in the 2 pack at harbor freight.
