- Ep.159 : [That Year, the Winter Was Warm] In today’s episode on the Return of Superman, Sam Hammington feels that he’s not qualified to be a dad yet, and he decides to call Ki Taeyoung for a help. Donggook’s wife asks him to make kimchi with the children. Hwijae, Seoeon and Seojun learn how to open their hearts to new friends in Jeju Island.

I'm literally shook that Sian and his beagle sisters went to the bedroom by themselves to take a nap. I have never seen a child at that age doing it alone 😮 that's actually pretty helpful!
I hope Sam and his family stay on the show for a long time. I would love to see William grow up, hang out with the other kids, and see Sam grow as a father and grow a relationship with the other dads too

I was so worried for Hwijae appa :( I'm glad to see the show staff was concerned for him too and asked if he needed to be alone, filming the show must come with it's own set of stress :( Thank you for Hwijae appa showing us that even if you're happy as a father your mental state can still be compromised and that's ok. we're all here for you Lee Hwijae!!
It kinda gets me emotional when hwijae said that he needs some time alone and look really sad but keep smiling infront of the twins
Gosh, I feel so proud seeing how much Seoeon has grown! I remember when his speaking abilities were lacking behind Seojuns and everybody was worried, but now he interacts and talks so well with people and other kids, takes responsibilities and is so independent. Good boy!
Seoul is fluent in english now. I'm shook. This little girl is everything.

Wow the twins can speak so well now ;) It's fun watching them interact with one another and solving problems without an adult interfering. Sua and Seola are such caring and helpful sisters! Taking care of Sian during his nap time;)

Aw, Seoeon and Seojun's fight and make up scene was so cute. They're quick to fight, but quick to forgive. :') I also enjoyed the kids' cafe moments, especially when the show used Jaurim as the bgm for Seoeon making a new friend.

It was so cute when Seoeon took one of the juice drinks because it was heavy for Seojun to carry both. At the play café, Seoeon and Seo-young were so cute, and then when Seojun joined them too! I love the way Seoeon's pronunciation of his name often comes out as "Teoeon", it's adorable.

I saw Sam on the thumbnail so I clicked on it, was going to skip this first family, but the dad and children's interaction was too cute. Now, I can do my research and find out who they are, but at someone's mercy...can you please introduce who they are and their roles?

Was it fresh or fermented? Because while fresh kimchi is quite easily available, the fermented kind is hardly available, even in Korean restaurants.. Atleast where I live..

I wanted to try kimchi at least once but there's anchovies and shrimp paste in almost all the versions I find and I'm allergic to shellfish, does anyone have a vegan kimchi recipe or know where I could buy it?

I think for a vegan version of kimchi, you could just skip the non-vegan parts (like the fish sauce) and substitute with more salt and soy sauce.
If you TH-cam seonkyunglongest she is a Korean English speaking cook who makes Asian food recipes and she has recently made a vegan kimchi recipe!

This is my first time seeing Daebakie's mom (pause at 1:35). She doesn't look like she's got 5 kids already, more like a college student, pretty too.
Gosh i feel sams pain even though this was a few years back i still watch the repeats on here. I had a child and the father is no longer around so ive raised her by myself... sleepless nights crying baby and so confused while feeling hopeless as to whats wrong. Seeing how well he is with the kids now hes came a long way. My daughter is now only 18 months but she is one smart cookie. You dont realize the true struggle until their born but were made to breed and childbear. (: william and Bentley have an amazong father. All these children do although my child lacks in that she has her great grandfather who loves her more than anything 🥰🥰
