Personally I've noticed that in the long run, music doesn't help you relieve your stress, it's only temporary but in the long run it'll worsen your stress due to the sounds that distract your mind and provokes a certain reaction. It also becomes addictive. So at the end of the day, your biggest hope and solution to all your tension, stress and problems is your prayers. All praises to Allah.
When I feel completely helpess I come back to this recitation, and feel a huge weight off my chest. I truly believe Allah is always so very close to us, all we need to do is reach out to Him.
