👍👍 yeah perfect upgrades, I’m waiting on the new red cat scout 2 I just subscribed Tuesday, December 17 watching now 5:00 PM so this video was eight months ago so you probably have seen the new scout2 I know I’ve got the green one coming. Sure appreciate the video. I’ll be watching for the next one until then. Peace and chicken grease😁👍👍👋👋😎
I’m gonna be needing a set of those brass links, if they hold up pretty good out there, I will need a set for my scout is the same plant form as yours just different body
I think you did the perfect amount of modifications. Two things I do also recommend is removing the upper tray above the servo because it contacts the servo when the front suspension is fully compressed. I would also shave down the plastic servo mount ears some on each side because it contacts the frame rails during full front articulation from left to right.
If you’re running the factory Redcat controller the D/R trim is where you can adjust your Endpoints plus or minus. If you have an after market remote you should have a EPA option to adjust your end points plus or minus. I can post a video later this week also.
Thank u yeah I really appreciate it if you could make a video I was reading the manual and it was seem that I have to be on a certain channel for for certain sides or something like that but thank you I appreciate you God bless
well done. very nice build and you had some smaller wheels so you didn't have to bother the body shell. are you gonna shave the servo corners?. I just got a ascent myself, broke a link and headed brass. you made the ascent the way redact should have. but I guess It would leave little room for personal modification.
I just recently shaved the servo mounts to allow a little more articulation, also waiting on a couple of things to make a few more changes and will have a new video out once the parts come in.
But the TRX4M rod end pivot balls have a hole with a 2.5mm hole & the Ascent uses 2mm. So the TRX4M links would mount very sloppy with that much play between the 2mm Ascent 18 mounting bolt diameter & the TRX4M rod end pivot ball with a 2.5mm hole is the problem.
I think I will stick with the stock motor myself. So far it has worked well for me, and nearly silent. I bought the mofo for a scx24 and it is noisy to.

Really did wonders for the performance. Good choice flipping the motor and battery positions. liked and subbed!

Appreciate! I will for sure do your recommendation. I have filed down the ears on my scx24 for smoother articulation.
I just cut the whole frame off right in front of the front shocks.
Awesome!! do you have a link for the brass links?
I've been looking for links too

Can u make a video how to endpoint adjustments on the Red cat Ascent 18 please I cannot figure it out for the life of me I am new to RC😢

Like mine a lot. I did break a link, so will go with alumimum ones.

Awesome mods! Did you have to revers the throttle on the receiver?
I did not have to.
I did the same thing but I had to reverse my motor. What did I do wrong?
Got a link to the motor and servo ?
Motor - moforc.com/products/trx4-m-big-block-brushed-motor
Servo - www.amainhobbies.com/reefs-rc-179-smart-micro-servo-winch-sehreefs129/p1426590
Do you have a link on where to buy those brass links from??
RC Steve 710 on Facebook. But a better cheaper link set would be the TRX4m high clearance links from injora. Brass or Stainless.

The Traxxas links are about 5mm longer so they will stretch the wheelbase & you may need different driveshafts
Man that thing is noisy mine absolutely silent
Your stock motor or Mofo Rc big block.

@@LucasOutdoors54 yes I agree Mofo RC is louder, but overall performance is better than stock motor.
